About the role:
As a Techno-Functional Lead in the Customer Data Platform (CDP/Data 360) space within the Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) business unit, you will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams while also driving the end-to-end technical architecture of CDP solutions. This role combines deep expertise in Salesforce Data 360 and Salesforce Marketing Cloud with strong product ownership and business analysis capabilities.
You will be responsible for gathering and translating business requirements into scalable, compliant, and high-performing data solutions including data ingestion, identity resolution, data modeling, segmentation, and activation. You will design and implement scalable data models, lead Agile delivery, ensure process compliance, and oversee cross-functional collaboration to ensure robust, secure, and efficient solutions.
This role directly contributes to PDT’s ability to harness enterprise data effectively, enhance decision-making, enable personalization, and strengthen competitive advantage in an ever-changing business/technological landscape This position will align to the External Experience chapter of the ICC and report to the PDT Delivery Lead for strategic direction as well as day-to-day management.
How you will contribute:
- Own end-to-end CDP solution design, planning, and execution strategy.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into user stories, use cases, workflows, and technical specifications.
- Manage product backlog, prioritize features, and support roadmap planning and PI planning activities.
- Design scalable data models and build ERD diagrams aligned to business objectives.
- Architect and configure data ingestion, data mapping, identity resolution, segmentation, and activation within Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Enable and support Salesforce Marketing Cloud automations including segmentation logic and SSJS scripting.
- Assess technical impacts resulting from evolving functional requirements and conduct impact analyses.
- Drive UAT efforts including test case development, execution, defect triage, and resolution.
- Create and manage GxP documentation and change controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects, testers, validation teams, and external vendors.
- Ensure quality, performance, security, and adherence to best design standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture, configurations, and development processes.
- Lead daily scrum calls and facilitate cross-functional coordination to ensure timely delivery.
- Continuously optimize internal processes and contribute to innovation and process improvements.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Product Vision & Strategy
- Define and maintain the product vision for Salesforce Data Cloud aligned with PDT business goals and customer needs
- Influence Salesforce product roadmaps and advocate for PDT-specific requirements
Backlog & Roadmap Management
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, epics, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Develop and communicate sprint goals and release plans across agile teams.
- Coordinate with other Product Owners to ensure seamless integration across Salesforce clouds (Marketing, Health, Loyalty, Service)
- Serve as the voice of the customer and frontline users throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Prepare and present product roadmaps, specifications, and performance metrics to stakeholders
- Oversee proactive monitoring, issue resolution, and RCA follow-through for Data Cloud environments
- Ensure compliance with privacy and regulatory standards through feature awareness and release planning.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and consolidate data operations across business lines
- Lead UAT and ensure new capabilities meet defined acceptance criteria.
Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise
- Deep and functional understanding of Digital Omnichannel engagement processes, needs, capabilities, compliance needs, etc.
- Deep understanding of current technology topics (e.g., Salesforce cloud products (Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud & Marketing Cloud Personalization) and platforms, Digital Marketing and CRM products, micro-service architectures, automation, and API integration);
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and experience in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro, etc.).

The role must set up and continuously shape development of innovative product roadmap within Donor Experience ecosystem, third-party vendors and across Takeda stakeholders
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field required.
- 8–10+ years of experience working with Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Personalization, Mulesoft and related products
- 8–10+ years of experience in Business Analysis or Product Ownership roles.
- Hands-on experience with data ingestion, data mapping, identity resolution, and segmentation.
- Strong expertise in data modeling and complex SQL.
- Experience working with APIs and system integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud including automation and segmentation.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies including backlog prioritization, roadmap development, and PI planning.
- Strong SDLC knowledge including validation and UAT support.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, MSSQL, MS Office, and Figma.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrate ability to interpret and work with data (e.g., dashboards, reports, data quality concepts) and understanding of AI/ML fundamentals to adapt to emerging technology trends, identify opportunities for intelligent automation/insights within Salesforce, and make data-informed decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in agile and SAFE methodologies and software development lifecycle; requirements Definition & Analysis, Product Development & Delivery (e.g., MVP), Design Thinking, Customer Experience (CX), and UI/UX Tools & Methodologies, Backlog, Epic & Story Management.
- Strong communication skills with ability to articulate and optimize design based on the value to the user and the business, lead ideation sessions and workshops;
- Experience working in a life sciences environment and/or familiarity with Takeda strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook).

Preferred requirements:
- Salesforce Data Cloud Accredited Professional certification.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification.
