The CD Engineering Solution Architecture Manager role forms a key part of the CD Engineering Team and through this plays a key role in the co-creation, co-evolution, and co-maintenance of the CD Salesforce Platform. The mission of this role is influence and design solutions following ‘OneTech, design principles' to leverage simpler and more cost-effective IT solutions to support the business agenda rooted in a standards-driven approach (Architecture, Process, Integration, Data, Security and Services).

Experience Required
A candidate for this position must have had at least:
• Experience desining solutions for ‘Customer Experience’ business function (Trade Promotion Management, Retails and Execution, and Customer Relationship Management) using Salesforce platform.
• Experience Architecting, Supporting and Managing one of the key ‘Salesforce Platform’ (Sales/Service, Consumer Good, Commerce, Marketing, Agentforce and/or Data Cloud) clouds.

Key Accountabilities
Lead and Influence
• Partner with CD Engineering managers to understand priorities and opportunities for improvement through technology-led initiatives.
• Work closely with Customer Enterprise Architects to review and supports all new projects demand in line with Unilever strategies.
• Co-Maintain a strategic awareness of technology relevant to Unilever and facilitating relationships with technology vendors on their roadmaps as input to Unilever’s strategic IT position and Destination Architecture.
• Co-develop CD Products technology roadmaps in line with strategic Core Technology direction, thereby improving demand visibility and full investment lifecycle.

Solution Architect
• Design platform solutions based on the Enterprise Architecture guidelines & principles in line with the Business requirements.
• Work with technical vendors engagement to understand detailed implementation of each technology that is part of the platform ecosystem.
• Desing platform architecture landscape and collaborate with Enterprise Architects to define the architecture roadmap.
• Support Enterprise Architects to influence strategic vendor product roadmaps and define implementation plans for features.
• Support Business Architect, Product Lines and business teams to review technology and new capabilities opportunities.
• Support the technical implementations and monitoring the security aspect as relevant to the business platform.
• Support the technology strategy for each product (e.g. at a high level whether to replace, innovate, operate & enhance, maintain, and decommission).
• Work as Level 4 of support at the business-as-usual operations teams to support IT services estability.

o System Design and Analysis, Software development lifecycle, Technical Architecture, Application Architecture, Information and Data Architecture, Cloud Computing and Infrastructure, Integration and Middleware, Security and Compliance)
o Knowledge of InfoSec concepts, processes, and technologies.
• Familiarity with information management, DevSecOps, IT services management and operations.
• Organizationally savvy and understanding of the political climate of the enterprise and how to navigate obstacles and politics.
• Ability to balance the long-term and short-term implications of individual decisions.
• Ability to translate business needs into requirements and solutions.
• Ability to apply multiple solutions to business problems.
• Influential in the organization and a team player.
• Effective at driving short-term actions that are consistent with long-term goals.
