Job Summary

The Category Specialist – Accessories & Gadgets acts as the category lead for mobile accessories and lifestyle gadgets, managing the end-to-end product lifecycle from planning and sourcing to in-store execution and performance optimization. This role drives assortment excellence, profitability, and sell-through efficiency, supporting the company’s retail growth and digital lifestyle ecosystem.

Job Description

1. Category & Product Planning

  • Develop category plans and product roadmaps for Accessories and Gadgets aligned with consumer demand and market trends.
  • Identify new product opportunities to strengthen category relevance and competitiveness.
  • Define SKU strategy, pricing structure, and product segmentation to optimize both sales and margin.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to ensure accurate sales forecast and product readiness.

2. Vendor & Sourcing Management

  • Collaborate with the Procurement to source new suppliers and negotiate commercial terms to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure product quality, compliance and timely onboarding.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and distributors.

3. Commercial & Performance Management

  • Monitor category performance (sales, margin, inventory turns, stock aging) and recommend actions to improve efficiency.
  • Manage promotional plans, bundle offers and attach-rate initiatives with Mobility and Device categories.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and market benchmarks to refine assortment strategy.
  • Coordinate with retail teams to ensure product availability and visibility across all channels.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Retail Operations, and Digital teams to align product launches and retail campaigns.
  • Support merchandising planning and in-store display execution to maximize customer engagement.
  • Partner with Finance to review pricing, cost structure, and category profitability.

5. Strategic & Operational Excellence

  • Prepare regular reports and insights for management on category health and business outlook.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance category efficiency and agility.
  • Support the Manager in long-term category strategy, vendor partnership models, and innovation pipeline.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5–8 years of experience in Category Management, Product Management, or Merchandising within retail or consumer electronics.
  • Proven experience managing mobile accessories, gadgets, or related categories.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills.
  • Hands-on experience with sales and inventory analytics, forecasting, and vendor management.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Fluent in English (Thai language proficiency is an advantage).
