We are seeking a talented leader to lead and grow the casualty risk advisory for Marsh Risk across Asia.   Based in Hong Kong (preferred) or Singapore, this hybrid position requires a minimum of three days per week in the office. As a senior executive, you will be accountable for the performance of the Casualty Risk Consulting practice and serve as a vital member of the Marsh Risk Consulting Asia Executive team.

This senior leadership role is responsible for delivering complex casualty risk consulting solutions to large and multinational clients, developing market-leading intellectual capital, and building high-performing consulting teams across the region.

The role requires a strong technical foundation, combined with deep insurance industry experience, particularly in casualty risk, liability, and complex loss exposures.

We will count on you to:

Client Advisory & Delivery

  • Lead the design and delivery of casualty risk consulting engagements, including liability risk assessments, loss modelling, risk financing strategies, and support the brokers on the casualty program optimization.
  • Advise clients on complex casualty exposures such as general liability, product liability, professional indemnity, environmental liability., and emerging risks.
  • Partner with Marsh placement, claims, and industry specialty teams to deliver integrated risk and insurance solutions.
  • Act as a trusted risk consultant advisor to senior client stakeholders, including CROs, CFOs, General Counsel, and Risk Managers.

Regional Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and execute the Asia casualty risk consulting strategy aligned with Marsh Risk Consulting’s regional and global objectives and with the Casualty Leader Asia regional strategy.
  • Identify market risk trends, regulatory developments, and emerging casualty risks across Asia, translating insights into client solutions and thought leadership.
  • Support revenue growth through new business development, cross-selling, and expansion of existing client relationships and prospects.

Technical Excellence & Innovation

  • Leverage engineering-based analytical skills to support casualty risk quantification, scenario analysis, root cause analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain proprietary methodologies, tools, and frameworks for casualty risk assessment and advisory.
  • Contribute to regional and global thought leadership, including white papers, client briefings, and industry presentations.

People Leadership

  • Build, lead, and mentor a regional team of casualty consultants, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Support talent development, succession planning, and capability building across Asia.
  • Champion Marsh’s values, risk culture, and client-centric approach.

What you need to have:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, with a strong focus on casualty risk, liability, or complex risk consulting.
  • Proven experience in casualty underwriting, risk engineering, insurance risk consulting, or risk advisory within a broker, insurer, or consultancy.
  • Strong understanding of casualty insurance products, risk transfer structures, and regulatory environments across Asia.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing senior client relationships and multi-country teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of revenue growth and solution development.
  • Experience working with multinational and large clients across diverse Asian markets.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business insights.
  • Credibility as a thought leader in casualty risk, liability, or emerging risk areas.
  • Business proficiency in one or more Asian languages is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (civil, mechanical, chemical, industrial, or related discipline required; advanced degree preferred).  Professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PE, ARM, CPCU, or equivalent) an advantage.
