Raytheon is seeking a Capture and Proposal Support Associate Director. The Associate Director duties include guiding and leading teams in developing strategies for success during rapid acquisitions, providing subject matter expertise in capture events, support Acquisition Reform task force actions, and customer influence and shaping.

The Associate Director regularly presents findings and recommendations to executive level audiences. The Associate Director works closely yet independently with cross-functional teams to determine competitor technical solution(s), bid strategy and probable behavior.  This role requires a strong ability to apply creative initiative to developing plans for pre-RFP positioning / shaping, especially with USAF customer. 

As part of the Requirements & Capabilities (R&C) team, the Associate Director will be an integral part of helping Raytheon further our vision to be the global leader in core and next-generation weapon and security solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Lead meetings, projects and initiatives with influence and effectiveness
  • Guide teams in developing strategies for success during rapid acquisitions
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Black Hats, Blue Teams, etc.
  • Assist with upcoming Acquisition Reform task force actions
  • Develop plans for pre-RFP positioning / shaping, especially with USAF customer
  • Improve process around fact-finding and TINA sweep
  • Work on the transition to product-based bidding
  • Conduct special projects to improve our tools and processes
  • Present with presence and influence to gain "buy-in" with the capture team executive level audience
  • Collaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) at the Federal, State/Local on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutions
  • Travel up to ~50% domestically

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • University Degree and minimum 12 years of experience in the Defense Industry, or an Advanced Degree and minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of acquisition, capture or proposal expereince
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting and responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs)

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Knowledge of Raytheon portfolio, capabilities, and products
  • In-depth understanding of position to win, from either commercial or defense
  • Strong familiarity with Raytheon’s major competitors and with associated competitor/industry knowledge
  • Understand current technology, engineering disciplines, rapid development of high-level architecture, and architecture costing
  • Record of success in building support, motivating others, promoting teamwork, fostering open communication, establishing trust, and showing adaptability

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
