About you and this role

Do you want to experience how large-scale chemical manufacturing operates in practice? We are seeking ambitious bachelor's or master’s students eager to apply their skills with an internship in Terneuzen, the Netherlands.


You will be welcomed in our Manufacturing & Engineering department, working closely with operators, technicians and engineers to support safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing processes. This internship focuses on continuous improvement, operational data analysis, and engineering project support within an active production environment.

This role is ideal for students who enjoy working close to industrial operations, solving practical problems, and collaborating across disciplines to improve plant performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily manufacturing and engineering activities within an operating production unit.
  • Analyze process and operational data to identify improvement opportunities in safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Assist engineers and operations teams in troubleshooting process deviations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help document procedures, workflows, and best practices to strengthen operational excellence and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or other related disciplines.
  • Strong working knowledge of English. Preferably also good working knowledge of Dutch.
  • You can start between July and October 2026 for a duration of five to six months (exact timing to be discussed).

  • A good technical and interpersonal skill set, innovative, flexible, and open-minded in a lifelong learning environment.
  • Good collaboration skills, and a personality that can adapt easily in multicultural and fast paced environments.

Additional notes

  • There is no visa support for this role.
  • Selected candidates are expected to work on-site in Terneuzen, the Netherlands.
