The Opportunity:
As the Campus Director of TRIO Student Support Services you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of WSU Vancouver’s inaugural TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) grant (2025–2030), which serves 140 participants annually. Reporting to the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, you will work in consultation with the vice-chancellor to implement, grow, and sustain the TRIO SSS program at WSU Vancouver.
In this role, your primary focus will be providing leadership in the planning, coordination, and delivery of academic success and career-centered college success programming, supports, and services for TRIO participants. You will also teach UNIV success courses offered through the program. In addition, you will be responsible for managing data collection to accurately track participants’ academic progress, program engagement, and individual needs—records that form the basis for comprehensive annual federal reporting.
In this position, you will hold responsibility for fiscal oversight of the $272,364 annual grant award, ensuring budget allocations effectively support program objectives. This requires careful financial planning and management in accordance with WSU policies as well as the strict guidelines of the U.S. Department of Education governing TRIO Student Support Services grants.
Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE), temporary position. This position is overtime eligible.
Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on September 24, 2030. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
Monthly Salary: $5,417 - $5,800 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
Three years of progressively responsible experience in student services at the K-12 or college level, or related education/experience.
Experience in student services, teaching, counseling, academic advising or similar.
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in secondary or higher education, counseling, social work, student affairs, public policy or related human services field.
Experience in design, management or implementation of SSS or similar projects such as college access or pre-college access programs.
Three years of professional experience in staff supervision, budget management, program development and evaluation, reporting, and compliance with federal regulations.
Professional experience managing federal TRIO programs, academic support programs or similar programs for under-resourced and/or potential first-generation college students.
Familiarity with organization and operation of secondary school/district administration and university/community college systems.
Demonstrated success meeting reporting requirements and following regulations for U.S. Department of Education grants.
Strong commitment, training, and experience working with potential first-generation and low-income students, disabled, and other disadvantaged populations.
Multilingual.
