This role is responsible for defining and driving the PC camera strategy and roadmap (hardware + software + AI image pipeline) and serving as the cross-functional TPM to deliver prioritized camera features from concept through POR.
The role applies advanced subject matter knowledge across image sensors, optics, ISP/firmware, Windows integration, AI-based image enhancement, image quality, privacy/compliance, and supplier ecosystem to drive complex business decisions and resolve technical issues, influence stakeholders, and accelerate innovation.
The role leads pan-PS camera strategy and manage internal and external relations (HP internal teams, ODMs/OEM partners, IHVs/suppliers), develops schedules and dependency plans, tracks progress and risks, and drives best practices, while mentoring less-experienced staff.
Own PC camera strategy and multi-year roadmap, aligned to customer use cases (conferencing, image quality, privacy/security) and portfolio segmentation (Good/Better/Best where applicable).
Translate customer/market insights and competitive analysis into clear requirements, KPIs, and acceptance criteria for camera experiences.
Host and own Camera Core Team meetings to communicate program progress, escalations, and tradeoff analysis to stakeholders; recommends and implements changes to requirements, architecture approach to resolve issues and maintain roadmap commitments.
Develop and manage program schedules, key milestones, critical deliverables, dependency tracking, and resource needs across internal teams and external partners.
Drives structured planning cadence (e.g., sprint/PI planning, program reviews, decision logs); ensures follow-up on open actions from trials, demos, and converts findings into actionable plans.
Identifies and drives innovation opportunities in camera experiences (including emerging capabilities), track POCs and facilitates technology readiness planning for product adoption.
Establishes and drives best practices for documentation, requirements control, and cross-team operating mechanisms (templates, dashboards, playbooks, governance).
Provides coaching and mentorship to less-experienced TPMs/strategists; promotes knowledge sharing and scalability within the organization.
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Imaging Science, Optics, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Camera/imaging systems, image pipeline, ISP/tuning, sensor/optics integration
Technical program management / systems engineering
Windows client ecosystem integration (drivers, services, apps) and cross-org execution
PC camera strategy, roadmap planning, and feature prioritization based on customer use cases and competitive insights
Prefers camera/imaging system fundamentals (CMOS sensors, optics/FOV, distortion, rolling shutter, HDR modes, ISP, IQ concepts, AI-enabled camera experiences)
Windows client camera ecosystem understanding, including camera stack integration and driver/firmware/application interactions
Program / project management expertise: milestone planning, dependency management, risk management, issue triage and escalation, and schedule recovery
Requirements definition and stakeholder alignment across hardware, firmware, software, AI/ML, execution, and experience/ planning teams
Supplier/partner management experience (ODMs, sensor/ISP/module vendors) and integration readiness planning
Privacy, security, and compliance awareness for camera experiences (user transparency, indicator/shutter behavior, telemetry/data handling governance)
Proficiency with Agile methods and project tools (JIRA, Scrum/Kanban, sprint planning)
Strong communication, executive-ready storytelling, and the ability to drive decisions across competing priorities
