Are you a customer service professional who is looking to help the animals of Maricopa County?
No day will be the same working at the Animal Care and Control Call Center. You will guide and direct customers in licensing, community outreach, state statutes, animal care programs, and much more! Your performance and commitment will contribute to the welfare and safety of the people and animals of Maricopa County. This position is eligible for hybrid flexibility after a brief training period.

About Us

We Require
Two years of clerical/administrative experience
One year of call-center experience
High School Diploma or GED
Other Requirements
Candidates must be flexible and able to work some weekends and holidays. Employees are assigned to any shift, with any combination of days off, determined by the needs of the Department
We Also Value
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Experience with data entry, automated data processing, and financial balancing
Job Contributions
Respond to incoming calls from customers regarding animal activities and licensing
Listen carefully and speak clearly, providing information and assistance
Create dispatch activities for the Field Team in a timely manner to ensure we safely serve the community
Generate bite and rabies exposure reports, detailing the information received from the caller in the database and following up as necessary
Track and log information for Public Health epidemiology and the State Laboratory regarding rabies exposure
Research and follow-up on billing notice copies, past due notices, and final notices for animal licensing
Process and track license applications, renewals, and exceptions for dog licensing
Perform data entry into Chameleon, updating information regarding animals or persons
Open, sort, and distribute incoming / outgoing mail
Provide information and clarification regarding anti-rabies vaccination statutes to the veterinarian community
Working Conditions
This position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
Exerting up to 10 lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time
