Objective of the position

In this role, your expertise in cables and connectors takes center stage. You’ll design and implement low-voltage and high-speed data cabling solutions for camera and monitor systems, as well as advanced driver assistance technologies (ADAS). You’ll optimize connectors, harnesses, and shielding to ensure reliable power and robust data transmission in demanding automotive environments.

As the central point of contact and knowledge for cables and connectors, you will have the opportunity to influence the company’s vision and strategy in this area, influencing future designs and standards.

Characterization of activities:

  • Design and specify cables, connectors, and harnesses for low-voltage power and high-speed data transmission (including Ethernet, LVDS, coaxial, and shielded twisted pair).
  • Ensure performance and reliability by maintaining signal integrity, EMC/EMI robustness, and durability for camera systems and ADAS applications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with E/E architects, system engineers, suppliers, and harness manufacturing teams to deliver optimized solutions.
  • Support validation activities, including electrical performance, vibration, sealing, and environmental testing to meet automotive standards.
  • Stay ahead of technological trends by researching new cable & connector innovations to drive cost efficiency and improve quality.
  • Manage legacy intellectual property and contribute to smart data management practices for continuous improvement.

Education, Experience and Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in low-voltage wiring, connectors, or data cabling.
  • Knowledge of camera/monitor systems or ADAS cabling.
  • Familiarity with CAD/harness design tools (CATIA, NX, Capital, Zuken E3).
  • Understanding of automotive standards (LV 214, USCAR-2/21, ISO 6722, CISPR 25).
  • Expertise in shielding, grounding, and signal integrity for data transmission.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch or other European languages are a plus.
  • Strong soft skills: analytical, detail-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable.

  • Full-time employment of 40 hours per week.
  • 8% holiday allowance.
  • Travel allowance home-work: 23ct per kilometers one way up to a maximum of 50 km

  • WIA: WIA floor, WGA gap and WGA gap additional insurances in accordance with the stipulated provisions.
  • PAWW: Compulsory supplementary insurance when the statutory unemployment WW or WGA benefit expires.
  • Holiday days: 27 days on an annual basis (full-time).
  • ATV: 13 days on an annual basis (full-time)
