Blackstone Credit & Insurance (“BXCI”) is one of the world’s leading credit investors. Blackstone Credit & Insurance (BXCI) is seeking a Principal to join the EMEA BXCI Structuring team within the Office of the Chief Investment Officer (OCIO). The Structuring team is primarily responsible for (i) structuring and executing investments (ii) creating and managing vehicles to hold underlying assets in an efficient manner for  investors (iii) owning relationships across rating agencies and banks related to structed solutions (iv) working closely with  origination teams for ongoing maintenance of structures (v) liaising with the BXCI sales teams to identify new fundraising opportunities (vi) collaborating closely across other functions within OCIO and the broader BXCI platform and (vii) preparing and maintain models, analysis, updates and presentations regarding the aforementioned topics. The candidate will work closely with all OCIO functions, investment teams as well as across the broader platform and senior management to execute on these responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Structuring & Execution – responsible for structuring and execution of investments across BXCI’s EMEA portfolio, ensuring transactions are optimally designed for return, risk, and compliance.
  • Vehicle Creation & Management – Oversee the creation and management of vehicles to hold underlying assets in the most efficient manner for investors, considering tax, regulatory, and operational factors.
  • Stakeholder Management – manage senior relationships with rating agencies, banks, and other counterparties related to structured solutions.
  • Ongoing Structure Maintenance – Partner with origination teams to ensure the ongoing performance, compliance, and optimization of existing structures.
  • Fundraising Support – Collaborate with BXCI sales teams to identify and structure new fundraising opportunities, aligning with investor needs and market conditions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with other OCIO functions, investment teams, legal, tax, and the broader BXCI platform to deliver integrated structuring solutions.
  • Market Intelligence & Innovation – Monitor rating agency methodologies, market trends, and regulatory developments to anticipate changes and innovate structuring approaches.
  • Analytical Leadership – Oversee the preparation and maintenance of models, analysis, updates, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and strategic insight.

Qualifications

  • Experience – 8+ years in structuring, investment banking, private equity, credit investing, or related fields, with a proven track record in complex, cross-border transactions.
  • Technical Expertise – Deep knowledge of structured finance, credit markets, leveraged finance, and tax/regulatory frameworks across EMEA.
  • Analytical Excellence – Strong financial analysis, data interpretation, and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills – Exceptional ability to present complex concepts clearly to internal and external audiences, including investors, boards, and regulators.
  • Execution Capability – Proven ability to manage multiple high-value transactions simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Education – Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree in finance, law, economics, or related field preferred.
  • Personal Attributes – Integrity, discretion, resilience, and a commitment to Blackstone’s values and long-term success.
