Airbus Procurement Transport & Logistics Team is responsible for securing Airbus Group wide transport (air, sea and land-based) and logistics solutions for all Airbus sites and divisions by procuring the means from external service providers. This includes establishing strong relationships with the suppliers and contractualisation of the commercial terms and conditions for maximising the value-added for Airbus.
Position Summary: The successful candidate will take the role of a buyer within the Procurement Transport and Logistics Team, accountable for supplier strategy development, sourcing, contracting and management for Airbus Group-wide transport and logistics service providers.
Main responsibilities:
Managing the end-to-end procurement activity (including strategy, tendering, contract management) for a portfolio of Service Providers for logistics services, across the Airbus Group;
Supporting and contributing to the deployment of the Airbus Procurement Market Segment Strategy for transport & logistics;
Perform market intelligence evaluation in line with the Market Segment Strategy; support and manage call-for-tenders (CFTs), including contract drafting and commercial negotiations, to achieve best-in-class purchasing conditions in line with internal customer needs, Company requirements and in compliance with Procurement processes and policies;
Supporting the Multi-functional / Multi-divisional Teams (MFT/MDT) through the CFT and contract lifecycle phases, especially with respect to service provider performance monitoring and continuous improvements up to claim management, including the lead for commercial settlement;
Establishing, expanding and intensifying long-term relationships with Logistics Service Providers (LSP) to ensure Airbus remains a preferred customer;
Managing the Company’s internal stakeholders during all phases of the engagement with the service providers, specifically in case of service evolution and during periods of crisis requiring strong support from and close collaboration with the providers;
Supporting specific projects to advance on Airbus’ strategic roadmaps in the field of sustainability, supply chain resilience, competitiveness and innovation.
Requirements - our ideal candidate will have:
The jobholder will have a Procurement background of 2 to 5 years and the potential to be developed in the core countries in the Procurement function
Experience as a buyer or in a role involving Supply Chain / Logistics activity close to contract management
In terms of Hard skills, the jobholder will demonstrate a strong ability in Tendering process, Advanced negotiation, Legal/Contracting and SRM (supplier relationship management).
He/she will bring good knowledge in Export Control and Sustainability laws and regulations.
He/she will demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, and will be fluent in English both written and verbal. French and/or German would be a plus.
He/she will be easily adaptable to the Airbus E2E Procurement tools (Coupa suite, SAP, E-Proc and Airsupply) and will be used to Google suite
In terms of Soft skills, the jobholder will be "delivery" oriented with a strong focus on customers’ satisfaction.
He/she will have a strong ability to convince and influence, communicate effectively.
He/she will be a team player and will be comfortable with remote working. He/she will always act with integrity and equity in the supplier selection process, in full compliance with processes and regulations.
A specific attention will be brought to the Ethics of the jobholder. In his/her role, he/she is engaging Airbus legally, financially and in terms of image
The jobholder may have to travel up to once a month to the core countries of Airbus (France, Germany, Spain and UK)
