Join our global team as a Buyer Planner, ensuring timely raw material supply and optimized production schedules. Collaborate across functions to align with business plans and consistently deliver on global supply targets

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Product line schedules and ensure that the Raw Materials are available for the execution and work closely with the Production Coordinators to achieve this.
  • Complete all work orders for assembly, packaging and sterilization.
  • Liaise between the Dun Laoghaire Operations department and the worldwide planning functions, to manage market requirement changes, and production issues.
  • Monitor actual production and vendor performance against production schedules. As required develop alternate plans to ensure volume and mix metrics are achieved.
  • Work closely with other departments - Production, QA, Sterilisation and Shipping - to ensure compliance and supply targets are met.
  • Maintain inventory requirements for raw materials to agreed targets and monitor any exposures for obsolescence.
  • Ensure departmental and vendor lead times are accurate and in line with the Master schedule.
  • Liaise with the MDO (Master Data Owner) to ensure accuracy of BOMs and timing of new data entry.
  • Schedule pen needle sample bagger in Dun Laoghaire and manage boxing with outside contractor.
  • Build and develop relationships with key vendors.
  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.

Educational Requirements and Relevant Experience:

  • Third level qualification in Supply Chain Management
  • 4/5 years’ experience in Materials Control/Purchasing fields.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent working knowledge of stock movement and control systems
  • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical devices industry
  • Computer literacy and numerical ability
  • Experience using an MRP system e.g. SAP
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer Service Orientation
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and off own initiative.
