About the role


As a Business Systems Analyst, you’ll act as the voice of the customer to ensure that our teams continue to deliver more best-in-breed products that advance the way we pay, bank and invest. You’ll work as part of a team in a scrum setting and must be a self- motivated, proactive, and out-of-the-box thinker.

About the team

FIS is Fortune 500 company and one of the largest financial services, with solutions ranging from capital markets to retail banking and payments. For this position you will be part of the development team for FIS® Investment Accounting Manager (formerly InvestOne), an industry leading asset management solution, used by the biggest financial institutions in the world for critical fund accounting services.

Our development has recently been engaged in exciting platform modernization efforts to bring our application to the cloud with the goal of making it more reliable, scalable, and performant.

We are looking for someone to join our team who is passionate about building modern technology solutions to meet our clients’ most urgent business needs

NOTE: FIS has moved to a hybrid work model and the InvestOne development team members all over the globe. The position is open to remote roles, if the candidate can work during CST hours


What you will be doing


Advanced professional role requires individuals to analyze, communicate and validate business/user requirements for processes, policies and information systems. Translate business needs/end-user requirements into functional specifications that describe what the system, process or product/service must do to fulfill the end-user/business requirements.

Possesses knowledge in Investment Banking domain, specifically in Fund Accounting. Works on one or more projects as a team member. Works under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
  • Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
  • Identifies and documents business strategies, objectives and drivers.
  • Re-engineers processes to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Effectively communicates testing activities and findings in oral and written forms.
  • Controls and manages own daily test activities.
  • Organizes and maintains the test script library.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring

  • Investment banking domain knowledge is must. Fund Accounting domain expertise desirable.
  • Knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools and technology used to create and support defect-free application software that meets needs of client/business partner.
  • Knowledge of basic principles, processes, phases and roles of application development methodologies
  • Knowledge of primary database engines with a demonstrated ability to write medium complexity queries to be used for data validation and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of functions features and components of existing and planned operating systems and applications.
  • Skill in understanding and focusing on the client needs.
  • Skill in analysis, solid decision-making and problem solving.
  • Ability to work in an agile development environment where developers and testing personnel work closely together to ensure requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Ability to deliver results under pressure.
  • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills working with technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, client representatives.
