Job Description

Support business decision-making by providing analysis that leads to solutions for business issues. Support projects from concept through implementation. Be the liaison between business leaders, staff, utility functions, and at times external parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing the viability of proposed Request or solutions to determine if the changes are feasible and analyzing business requirements to understand the request. Identifying the discrepancies between current and desired states and recommending solutions to address the gaps.

    Preparation of "Business and User Requirement Document" along with the mock ups. Work on SQL to identify the data files with the help of UDF Table file (provided by Backend team).

  • Facilitate requirement reviews and approvals by business, technology and leaders. Support technology analysis and design to ensure understanding and alignment to the business requirements. Follow the department's standards for planning, communicating and execution of analysis for deliverables. Identify, communicate, and implement process improvements.

  • Gather business information and incorporate information into project plans with project manager or lead. Provide timely update and accurate documents and communication to project team through life-cycle of change. Work on process improvements and complex projects in identifying business and system requirements, creating project and process specifications for new and/or enhanced systems and drive quantifiable results through facilitating interaction with the business unit.

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to assemble requirements for reporting needs, help with data-driven decision making, strive to get data from authoritative sources to reporting via enterprise data hub, data warehouses and data marts. Generate and present Decision Analysis Recommendations (DARs) for business and technology partners decision-making. Work on SQL to identify the data files with the help of UDF Table file (provided by Backend time).

  • Documenting report specifications, data sources, and assumptions to maintain a clear record of the reporting process. Prepare the Data Specification document for new function development and enhancement in existing functions. (which includes calculations for the functions).

  • Perform and/or support system administration tasks including but not limited to:

    - Change Management

    - Maintenance and Monitoring of the applications. Install and upgrading of software

    - Configuration and trouble shooting

    Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellent hands-on personal computer and organizational skills, Familiar with advanced features in MS Word, MS PPT Familiar with formulas and complex spreadsheets. Ability to write embedded formulas are essential. Exposure to VBA macro development within MS Excel

  • Understanding of SQL and data sets Ability to write SQL queries and understand data retrieval, formatting, and integration. Ability to understand Database architecture concepts.

  • Familiarity with Back and Middle Office technology.

  • Solid analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, reach conclusions and take action.

  • Ability to understand technology as it relates to business and may require product or system certifications.

  • Ability to communicate technology related information clearly to different audiences and clearly detail implementation processes.

  • Strong relationship within the department and across business functions.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 1+ years’ experience in the financial services industry

  • Strong leadership competencies and execution skills by way of cross-collaboration and workflow facilitation with multiple internal business partners.

  • Must be highly responsive and proactive in a fast-paced changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of investment products and securities

- Ability to integrate data from multiple systems for consolidated reporting

- Experience as key contributor in larger projects and leading smaller projects, including writing requirements, developing and carrying out test cases,

- Experience in business process analysis and improvement

- Power BI / Tableau/ Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS) reporting or other visualization tool experience.

- Excellent Communication skills both written/Oral
