Business Systems Administrator

Financial Management and Procurement Services (FMPS) invites you to apply for a Business Systems Administrator role supporting one or more enterprise systems, including Adaptive Planning, Workday Financials, and other financial systems and reporting tools.

This position focuses on day-to-day system support, ticket-based issue resolution, routine system maintenance, reporting support, and assisting with testing and documentation. The Business Systems Administrator will also support financial planning and analysis processes through Adaptive Planning and assist the senior business systems administrator with Workday Financials administration and related activities as needed. You will work with business partners and technical teams to help keep systems running smoothly and support ongoing improvements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide daily operational support for assigned systems, tools, reports, interfaces, and integrations, including Adaptive Planning, Workday Financials, and other financial systems.
  • Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting set-up through Adaptive Planning and related reporting tools.
  • Assist the senior business systems administrator with Workday Financials support, configuration-related activities, issue investigation, testing, and documentation as needed.
  • Monitor integrations and system queues; identify issues and assist with troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Triage service requests and incidents by gathering details, documenting findings, prioritizing issues, escalating when needed, and tracking through completion.
  • Perform routine system maintenance activities, such as configuration updates, access-related tasks as applicable, and validation checks, following established procedures.
  • Support testing for upgrades, enhancements, and system changes by executing test scripts, documenting results, and reporting defects.
  • Assist with requirements gathering by documenting discussions, clarifying needs, and translating requests into basic specifications for review.
  • Develop, maintain, and validate financial reports, dashboards, and related data outputs to meet business and operational needs.
  • Draft and maintain user documentation and provide user support and training on standard system functions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by recommending updates to procedures, job aids, support workflows, and related business processes.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and follow established service management practices.

Position Requirements

  • PT2: Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Preferred experience supporting Adaptive Planning, Workday Financials, or other enterprise financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting or assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or planning systems is desirable.

The expected hiring range for this position is $69,750.00 - $108,810.00.

The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, business considerations, internal equity, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
