Internal systems play a key role in how we scale at Basic-Fit. As the business grows, we need to continuously improve and accelerate the processes behind it. That means designing and building solutions that help teams work smarter, move faster and rely less on manual work without losing sight of quality, security and maintainability.

That’s where you come in.

Our team works with the speed and ownership of a scale-up, backed by the strength of a larger company. You won’t be waiting for perfect requirements or spending months discussing theory. You will work closely with stakeholders, understand how the business really runs, and build systems that make an immediate difference.

What will you do?

In this role, you design and build internal business systems end-to-end using low-code workflow tools, front-end tools, Postgres, and AI-supported development tools. This is not a simple automation role. We build solutions that support core business processes, so they need to be reliable, maintainable, secure and ready for production use.

• translate business needs and process challenges into clear system designs
• build internal tools and workflow-driven applications end-to-end
• work directly with stakeholders to understand processes, challenge assumptions and improve ways of working
• design solutions with attention to structure, reliability, security and performance
• model data in Postgres in a way that fits both the process and the people using it
• use SQL to work with and structure data effectively
• use JavaScript where needed to extend, improve or support solutions
• build practical interfaces that help teams work faster and better
• think through permissions, validation, auditability, error handling and edge cases
• iterate quickly based on feedback and changing business needs
• take ownership from first idea to live solution

We are pragmatic about our stack. We use tools because they help us move fast and build well. We also keep evaluating the stack, and if better tools or approaches come along, we are open to changing it. We make frequent use of AI in process improvement and system development, including tools like Claude Code, to move faster and build smarter

What are we looking for?

You are a builder with strong ownership, solid technical judgment and affinity with business processes.

You probably bring most of this:

• experience delivering internal tools, business systems or workflow-heavy applications end-to-end
• hands-on experience with low-code or no-code platforms
• confidence working with Postgres or another relational database
• good knowledge of SQL
• working knowledge of JavaScript
• understanding of APIs, integrations and backend workflows
• the ability to break down a messy business process into something structured and workable
• awareness of security, permissions, maintainability and performance considerations
• a practical mindset and the ability to move fast without losing structure
• confidence working directly with stakeholders and understanding what they really need

You are comfortable working close to the business, can handle pace and ambiguity, and know how to balance speed with quality.
