Business Relationship Support Specialist

This role supports a large, multi-state, high-revenue Government Banking portfolio with significant operational and service demands.


In this role, you will:

  • Support complex or large portfolio of government customers and share leadership role with relationship managers and customer support manager in managing a portfolio of accounts
  • Responsible for ongoing compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Handle complex customer issues including escalation and resolution
  • Solve issues with various operations centers, internal bank departments and outside vendors
  • Identify prospective opportunities through service to sales approach
  • Oversee implementation of products, services, and accounts for new or existing customers
  • Prepare presentations, materials and serve as a subject matter expert for the department
  • Train and mentor less experienced Relationship Associates
  • Work with Relationship Managers to structure and execute transactions for the most complex clients, and to manage portfolio with high operating exposures
  • Make decisions on complex customer issues and problems
  • Collaborate with executives, management, relationship managers and other internal partners or business lines


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Business Relationship Support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong experience supporting complex or large portfolios of business or government customers
  • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with relationship managers, customer support managers, partners, and senior leaders
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to independently manage priorities, identify issues, and drive solutions with minimal supervision
  • Solid understanding of regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements within a financial services environment
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve complex customer issues, including escalations
  • Experience coordinating across operations centers, internal bank partners, and external vendors
  • Knowledge of Wells Fargo's products and services and ability to identify opportunities to support customer growth
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with experience serving as a subject matter expert
  • Ability to manage high operating exposure portfolios and support complex transaction execution
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation, policy, and business continuity planning

Pay Range: 

Bloomington –Minnesota Pay Range: $66,000 - $100,000 USD annual (this range may not be applicable to other locations)

  • Serve as a primary day-to-day point of contact for complex government customers

  • Share leadership responsibilities for a portfolio of accounts in partnership with Relationship Managers

  • Act as a self motivated, proactive contributor who independently manages priorities, anticipates customer and portfolio needs, and drives issue resolution through appropriate partners
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve complex customer issues to ensure timely and effective outcomes

  • Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations

  • Collaborate with internal partners to execute complex transactions and manage high risk or high exposure accounts

  • Prepare and deliver presentations, training materials, and portfolio updates for clients

  • Partner with management and internal stakeholders to support implementations, issue resolution, and status reporting

  • Demonstrate sound judgment and decision making when addressing complex customer or operational challenges

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$66,000.00 - $100,000.00
