We’re seeking a proactive and highly experienced Business Performance Analyst to join our Corporate Services finance team, bringing strong stakeholder engagement skills and a passion for problem‑solving. In this role, you’ll partner closely with a diverse portfolio of key stakeholders. Providing insightful financial analysis and supporting strategic decision‑making. Acting as a crucial conduit within the business, this is the perfect opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative culture and is ready to elevate the impact of financial business partnering across the organisation.

Please note, this position is Full Time Permanent. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working by agreement.   

Your part in our UnitingCare team:  

  • Provide high‑quality commercial and operational advice, guidance, and value‑adding analysis to support the Corporate Function and drive improved operating and financial performance.
  • Lead the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) through the full planning cycle, including budgeting and forecasting, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational goals.
  • Support the SLT in monitoring progress against agreed strategic targets, both at Board level and within day‑to‑day operations.
  • Analyse, interpret, and present performance reports, delivering accurate and insightful commentary on key trends, operational impacts, emerging opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Build capability across the organisation by guiding teams to effectively monitor, understand, and analyse their own departmental financial performance.
  • Identify business processes requiring enhancement and lead the development of solutions that strengthen commercial management practices and operational effectiveness.
  • Partner with the UCQ Finance teams to ensure strong alignment, communication, and financial governance across the Corporate Function.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial and non‑financial models that capture key business drivers, enabling improved performance visibility and informed decision‑making.


What makes a difference for us? 

  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies. This may include: Nationally Coordinated Police Check, Right to Work in Australia, Insolvency Check
  • CAANZ/CPA qualification (or equivalent) with tertiary studies in Accounting, Business or a related field
  • Experience with Prophix, Dynamics 365, Workday Adaptive Planning or BI tools is desirable.
  • Proven experience in a business partnering role, supported by strong commercial acumen and advanced analytical and problem‑solving capability.
  • Background in performance analysis or strategic improvement roles within medium to large organisations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial insights for non‑financial stakeholders and influence decision‑making.
  • Experience navigating fast‑paced, dynamic environments and managing diverse stakeholders across dispersed locations.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex business challenges, ideally within community services, residential care or disability sectors.
  • Strong planning, coordination and time‑management skills, underpinned by solid finance and accounting knowledge and relevant legislative understanding
