See yourself in the role
As a Business Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in keeping CommBank iQ running smoothly, efficiently and with strong operational discipline. Your work will support a well‑organised, compliant business and give senior stakeholders confidence that day‑to‑day operations are well managed.
Reporting to the CommBank iQ Director Transformation, Governance and Operations, you will support the consistent and accurate delivery of core business processes, including team administration, onboarding and offboarding, invoicing, office operations, and stakeholder coordination.
Through strong organisation, attention to detail and follow‑through, you’ll help create positive experiences for colleagues and contribute to a high‑performing, well‑run environment.
Working closely with the Manager Operations and Process Excellence, the Executive Assistant to the CEO, and other key stakeholders, this role offers broad exposure across the business’s operational activities. You’ll build strong working knowledge across a range of business‑critical processes and provide flexible support as priorities shift.
You’ll be supported with training and guidance, so prior experience across every aspect isn’t essential. What matters most is a proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and pride in delivering high‑quality operational support that enables the business to perform at its best.
More specifically, you will:
- Coordinate core people and team operations processes, including onboarding and offboarding, position management, equipment and access set-up and return, and related administrative activities.
- Support the effective delivery of financial and administrative processes, including invoicing, reconciliation of team expenses, contract administration, and associated operational documentation.
- Manage day-to-day office and team operations, including travel co-ordination, facilities and workplace support, office administration, and maintaining accurate shared records and team information.
- Monitor and progress recurring operational requirements, including mandatory process and compliance activities, to ensure actions are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
- Act as a key point of co-ordination across internal stakeholders, working closely with teams such as Operations, Technology, HR, Finance, Facilities and Reception to keep processes moving and issues resolved.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational workflows, documentation and team practices, helping to make processes clearer, more efficient, and easier to execute.
- Provide reliable support across the broader Operations function, including backup support to the Executive Assistant to the CEO where required, to help ensure continuity during peak periods or leave cover.
- Support team culture and engagement initiatives through practical co-ordination of team events and activities that contribute to a positive and well-run workplace environment.
This role is suited to someone who is comfortable working across a variety of operational tasks, takes pride in strong execution and enjoys being the person who helps important operational processes run smoothly.
While the responsibilities are varied, the common thread is clear: delivering dependable, well-managed operational support that enables the broader business to perform at its best.
