Business Manager - WB Lending - Transaction Management

We recently created the global Transaction Management (TM) organization, with lending teams in 25 locations and over 450 TM bankers. The TM teams are focussed on lending asset generation, loan structuring and transaction execution for various loan types, including Corporate Sector Lending, Financial Institutions Lending, Specialized lending and Export Finance.

Your role

As Business Manager you support the Global Head of TM in all activities. This role provides you a broad insight in the ING WB organization and the steering of our global Lending business. You operate on a strategic, tactical and operational level. You act as a linking pin between the central and regional/country Lending teams, as well as interact with Sectors, Product, Risk and support teams.

Next to driving the commercial lending businesses, the TM organization is focused on realizing material transformations in way of working, in process-designs and applying digitalization and AI techniques, next to growing the collaboration with our Lending servicing hubs in Manila and Dublin. You will work together with a cross-functional group of people from the broader WB Lending, to ensure we drive our transformation into a consistent operating delivery model.

Your key responsibilities

  • You work directly for the global head of TM and proactively support the day-to-day activities to enable prioritization, effective decision making and steering business and team results.
  • You prepare analysis, overviews, presentations and communications. You will review and advise on proposals, requests, web-postings and police documents.
  • You monitor the progress of key financial and NFR metrics, as well as of projects and initiatives to ensure that actions are allocated to the relevant people and are acted upon.
  • You work in collaboration and alignment with Business Managers and Transformation colleagues in Lending and beyond. You are part of the Amsterdam based central team.
  • You will help to design and drive the execution of the TM strategy – translating strategy into executable plans with clear priorities.
  • You prepare and facilitate decision making, solution design and ensure that all relevant stakeholders are involved on domain and global level (Global Lending, Risk, HR, Tech)

About you

  • An energetic and motivated person who can work as part of a team but also independently. A colleague who displays all aspects of ING’s Orange behavior.
  • Clear communicator and fluent in English. You can contribute to and direct working groups.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, combined with diligence in delivering results.
  • Can create attractive presentations, overviews and communication messages.
  • Can act with organizational sensitivity and is able to create engagement across hierarchies.
  • Hands-on person with self-drive. Can plan, organize and work in a structured way.
  • Able to keep oversight, prioritize, work under pressure and handle deadlines.
  • You are a naturally collaborative person, who listens and at the same time pushes, where needed, to break through existing routines. You are eager to learn and grow professionally.

Your skills

  • Minimum 5-7 years of work experience with and/or clear affinity with our WB Lending business. Preferably you have worked in a front-office Lending, Coverage or Advisory role.
  • Understanding of ING’s WB strategy and clients, our products and processes.
  • Proficiency in working with MS Office applications, Copilot and ING systems.
  • Interested in transformation, digitalization and new technologies (AI)
