Business Manager in Wholesale Banking Advanced Analytics

As Business Manager for the WBAA Tribe, you will act as a strategic partner to the Tribe enabling effective governance, operational excellence, and cultural cohesion across squads. This role is pivotal in driving alignment with organizational objectives, ensuring transparent communication, and fostering an environment that accelerates delivery.

What department? Wholesale Banking Advanced Analytics (WBAA) has the purpose to build AI products that benefit ING’s clients and the bank. We define the AI strategy for the wholesale bank and build and advice on the implementation of AI and Agentic solutions. With a team of about 100 engineers, data scientists, UXers and AI product managers, across multiple locations, we work on cutting edge and innovative AI solutions with real impact.

Job Profile

We are looking for an energetic leader with a passion for combining thought and hands on action. You serve as a role model and show that you are a true ambassador of AI Product Management and the ING Analytics culture. As a business manager you play a key role in driving the success of the AI products in the tribe and beyond. You report directly to the Tribe Lead Wholesale Banking Advanced Analytics.

You combine both thinking of the future and a getting things done, pragmatic attitude. You will work with teams of highly skilled people and enjoy a creative atmosphere where innovation and experimentation is encouraged.

Responsibilities

WBAA Strategy & Operational excellence

· Support the Tribe in defining, tracking, and delivering strategic priorities

· Create high-quality strategic presentations and reports for senior management touchpoints, including MBB discussions.

· Track the WBAA portfolio of AI products for impact, and report on the KPI’s and prepare decision making on priorities in the WBAA portfolio

· Develop and implement an approach for product delivery tracking and impediment resolution in line with Change & Transformation and portfolio management practices

Manage budget & resource planning:

· Create the dynamic plan for WBAA and act as the primary point of contact

· Track the budget monthly and steer where needed

· Strategic planning of resources a number of quarters ahead, including location strategy and budget allocation, and manage staffing demand and supply

Operational support

· Responsible for MT meeting (i.e. WBAA MT, Delivery meetings, chapter lead meetings, OKR sessions ) materials such as agenda, meeting minutes, actions and prepare decision making

· Responsible for internal communications & channels. Such as WBAA teams environment, SharePoint, viva engage channels, postings on the intranet, newsletters and INGA -and WB corporate communications input

· Organize and facilitate MT offsites

Culture & People

· Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and learning

· Organise onboarding processes and champion talent development initiatives

· Propose and organise tribe events and rituals such as drinks, monthly lunches, yearend award celebrations and offsites

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and competences:

· 5+ years of relevant experience

· Excellent communication and facilitation skills.

· Familiarity with Agile ways of working and ING’s organizational model.

· Ability to manage ambiguity and drive change initiatives & comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Change management skills are key.

· Proven success in establishing executive relationships and influencing executive decision-making

· Previous experience in Analytics and a background in management or strategy consulting is considered a strong plus.

· Written and spoken fluency in English
