Business Lead, Sequencing, Roche Diagnostics Asia Pacific
The Opportunity:
As the Business Lead, Sequencing, you will be responsible for:
Lead the regional Sequencing team as well as a network of affiliate Sequencing teams through the Asia Pacific (APAC) network.
Develop and implement strategies and initiatives across the APAC region to drive the overall Sequencing business using commercial acumen and innovative approaches.
Make strategic, customer-centric decisions regarding product and segment launches, and build new commercial business models.
Propose and articulate a vision that creates strategic alignment, mobilizes the organization, and is self-driven to pursue results.
Stay abreast of trends in the external environment that could impact the business currently and in the future.
Enable a network of senior experts to directly or indirectly influence others to achieve results in a complex environment, potentially operating in above country models In this role, you will:
Consolidate regional needs to support the portfolio prioritization and development.
Leverage, plan, drive and support product launches through implementation of the Launch
Powerhouse (LPH) framework which provides a structured way of commercialization assessment and product launch preparation.
Identify how to tap into market trends or technology that are reshaping markets to streamline performance, become market shapers, grow market share, and outperform the competition through the APAC Communities.
Exercise customer-centric business thinking beyond the product or service by evaluating potential customers and addressing needs ranging from commercial to operational challenges.
Be responsible for coaching, development, and engagement of teams, including building a high performing team.
When necessary, drive and support other cross-functional teams within the agile framework and with internal stakeholders across value streams and chapters.
Recruit, integrate, and upskill commercial colleagues dedicated to sequencing across regional and affiliate levels (Commercialization Readiness).
Mentor and manage the commercialization network, driving collective efforts to build and execute commercial strategies.
Support upscaling of the Service & Support network and work with the global business team to design solutions selling content.
Traveling percentage of ~30% required due to the job nature.
Who you are:
Experience building and growing laboratory discipline based business required.
Proven ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, develop and execute strategies, and track and measure results.
Proven experience leading teams through collaborative technological innovation in an agile environment or continuous improvement efforts that have yielded tangible results and / or positive impact for patients or business stakeholders.
Highly developed leadership and people influencing skills; demonstrated success in establishing a high performing environment, fostering the Roche Operating Principles and APAC Spirit with an excellent reputation attracting the best talent and the commitment to developing and inspiring them.
Entrepreneurial mindset with proven ability to incubate and foster agile organizations with a complex, global corporate environment.
Familiarity with the technological trends and their relevance to the healthcare industry. A passionate and decisive business leader. Demonstrating courage, vision and drive to achieve results at the forefront of innovative technological changes.
Qualification and Experience:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in the related field. Advanced degree (Masters, MBA, Medical Degree, PhD) in the related field desired. MBA is an advantage.
At least 10 years of work experience in related fields.
Proven knowledge and expertise in the area of focus and in the Asia Pacific region.
Proven ability to shape business and ecosystems, mobilize needed resources and is outcome-driven.
Team management and people development experience and demonstrated courageous authenticity and builds trust with individuals of all levels.
Demonstrated passion for and role modelling of VACC leadership, with proven ability to lead with a creative mindset and act as a coach and mentor for others.
Location: Preferred location will be Singapore, however other locations within Asia Pacific may also be considered.
