The Opportunity

Canada Gas Operations is committed to delivering centralized programs and services to support safe, and effective operations. We are seeking a customer service focused Analyst to help sustain the operation and management of our Canadian vehicle fleet.
 

Reporting to the Manager, Operations Support & Business Planning, the Business Fleet Analyst will utilize strong communication and organizational skills to enable the safe, compliant, cost effective and reliable operations of the Canadian vehicle and equipment fleet. 

The Business Fleet Analyst will work closely with drivers, leaders, Supply Chain Management and the external Fleet Service Provider to manage vehicle inventory, support drivers in day-to-day operations and help improve efficiency, reduce expenses, ensure compliance with regulations, and support decision-making around fleet operations, procurement, and lifecycle management.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor overall performance of vehicle fleet for Canada Gas Operations and various internal business partners
  • Act as single point of contact for all stakeholders and provide critical interface with Supply Chain Management and external Fleet Services Provider
  • Support drivers and leaders with vehicle fuel, maintenance, repairs, licensing and operational issues resolution
  • Coordinating vehicle assignments, usage, and maintenance requests
  • Identify and/or coordinate resolution of compliance issues with respect to all relevant regulations, local laws and/or regulatory requirements
  • Communication to and onboarding of drivers and leaders of fleet vehicle and equipment regarding policies, process, and procedures
  • Coordinate vehicle ordering process including upfitting requirements
  • Support development of vehicle demand plans and replacement requirements
  • Support budget and forecasting requirements for Capital and Operating expenses
  • Coordinate and process vehicle disposals and re-marketing
  • Requisitioning, invoice review, and receipting for vehicle and equipment fleet costs
  • Preparing reports related to fleet operations and presenting them to stakeholders
  • Where applicable input and maintenance of vehicle assignment and cost allocation data in fleet management company database
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the safety or effectiveness of the vehicle and equipment fleet

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • A customer service-oriented individual with a high energy 
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) 
  • Proven experience working with external suppliers and/or fleet inventory systems 
  • Strong computer skills with SAP, SharePoint, MS Office Suite (specifically Excel) 
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven recommendations 
  • the ability to multi-task under high pressure situations with competing priorities and a sense of urgency and strong problem-solving abilities 

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution 
    • Minimum 6 or more years of related experience in vehicle and equipment fleet management or logistics or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
    • Experience in Operations or Supply Chain Management considered an asset

      • This role may require occasional travel (less than 5%)
