The Position

Business Excellence transforms tomorrow’s commercial ambition into today’s execution to unlock the full potential of our medicines. This internship offers a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of global strategy and local action, helping the organization navigate complex market landscapes to deliver life-changing treatments to patients.

As part of the Business Excellence Internship Program (BEIP), we are looking for ambitious Master students and graduates, who are keen to make an impact, to join our September 2026 cohort. In this multi-functional internship, you will serve as a vital connector across departments and international markets gaining hands on experience through exposure to strategy, business process, tactics, and data (AI, analysis, and reporting).  BEIP Interns will work across global functions (e.g. Commercial Marketing, Digital, and Customer Engagement Enablement) to bridge the gap between global strategy and local impact.

The Opportunity

To ensure you gain a comprehensive view of Business Excellence, you will be embedded within the Integrated Experience & Operations (IXO) team and a specific Commercialisation team within a Disease Area (DA). In this hybrid role, you will act as a "connector" to help ensure our Business Excellence (BE) solutions are practical, executable, scalable, and impactful.

Your work could include:

  • Business Analysis & AI Insights: Supporting the development of business cases for digital initiatives (such as AI integration in content creation) and helping to model the potential economic impact, including cost efficiencies and revenue growth.

  • Process Optimisation: Assisting with the mapping of end-to-end workflows to ensure our processes are standardised and prepared for future digital and AI-driven automation.

  • Digital Solutions & Tools: Helping to transition fragmented data and tracking systems into unified, user-friendly digital tools (e.g., using platforms like Monday.com) to improve project oversight.

  • Omnichannel & Segmentation: Supporting the rollout of "Core and Common" frameworks to help ensure consistent messaging and customer segmentation across global and affiliates.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working across the different BE teams (such as Portfolio Solutions and Commercial Marketing, etc. ) to help align data and insights, ensuring leadership has a clear and consistent view of our progress.

Who You Are

  • Current Master’s students in their final year or recent graduates (max. 12 months post-graduation). Preferred fields of study include Business, AI & Digital, Marketing, Life Sciences, or Applied Sciences.

  • You have a passion for "connecting the dots" between complex data and real-world business applications.

  • You thrive in dynamic environments and are comfortable moving from high-level strategic planning to hands-on execution.

  • You can translate complex insights into clear, impactful stories for diverse stakeholders.

  • Advanced English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
