Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development & Strategy Executive Assistant - Senior Management (Level L) position.  This is a developmental opportunity to work directly with the Vice President of Business Development and Strategy, as well as senior executive members of the BDS Business Development & Strategy Leadership Teams.

The position is planned for 2 years to allow enough time to develop additional leadership skills, learn the complexities of the role, team and customer and to plan and prepare for a future assignment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the Business Development & Strategy Front Office.
  • Supports Business Development & Strategy leadership on long-range strategies, organizational goals, objectives and initiatives.
  • Works with Business Development & Strategy Vice President to define and execute team operating rhythm and prepare for key meetings and visits with senior customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate strategically, participate in high-level strategic deliberations and offer confidential thoughts and input to act as a sounding board to the BD & Strategy leadership team to help refine and advance key initiatives.
  • Serves as the Business Development & Strategy focal for communication and coordination between the BDS Leadership Team and Business Development & Strategy organizations for regular deliverables, briefings, meetings and work packages as required.
  • Ensures organizational alignment with Boeing processes and compliance requirements
  • Coordinates Business Development & Strategy staff meetings and Business Development & Strategy participation in BDS and enterprise-level leadership meetings.
  • Reviews and evaluates strategic organizational focus and priorities, identifies and recommends optimization opportunities and assists in their implementation.
  • Leads the design, logistics and facilitation of large Business Development & Strategy meetings/events; develops and consolidates executive level briefings.
  • Maintains Business Development & Strategy calendars; monitors and tracks project execution of Business Development & Strategy /BDS-related plans and communicates status.
  • Provides guidance to and solicits feedback from Business Development & Strategy working team for consolidated reporting to Business Development & Strategy Leadership, BDS and Boeing Corporate.
  • Participates in steering meetings and associated events to help define and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Supervises the Business Development & Strategy Front Office staff.
  • Forges relationships with counterparts across BDS, other Boeing Business Units, and customer organizations.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 10+ years of experience working with senior and/or executive management and military officials
  • 10+ years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
  • 5+ years of experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing and analyzing data
  • 5+ years of experience working with and building cross-functional teams and partnerships with multiple stakeholders within the company, engineering and test
  • 5+ years of experience preparing and delivering a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation to leadership or a customer group

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Active Secret clearance is preferred

Travel: Position may require travel up to 40% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for $177,650 - $240,350
