Business Development Senior Advisor, Intelligence Solutions - Evernorth Health Services - Remote

Position Summary

The Business Development Senior Advisor is responsible for leading complex commercial activity across the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation and opportunity development through contract execution. As part of the Evernorth Intelligence Solutions team, this role partners closely with sales, product, operations, legal, and other internal stakeholders to bring data and analytics solutions to market and deliver value for clients.

This individual will build strategic external relationships, lead client-facing commercial discussions, support contract negotiations, and serve as a key voice of the market by translating client needs into product and go-to-market feedback. Following contract execution, the role remains engaged as a strategic liaison and escalation point during implementation in partnership with internal teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build and grow strategic relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Own commercial Data and Analytic Commercialization opportunities from lead generation and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and contracting.
  • Lead client meetings and strategic business reviews that identify needs, strengthen relationships, and expand value.
  • Partner with internal product, operations, legal and leadership teams to align solutions with client needs and execute smoothly across the sales lifecycle.
  • Serve as a strategic escalation point during implementation, helping resolve issues and identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Translate market trends, competitive insights, and client feedback into recommendations that inform product strategy and roadmap priorities.
  • Maintain strong operational discipline by documenting progress, managing deadlines, and tracking key metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in data commercialization, sales, business development, strategy, consulting, product, or client-facing roles in a professional environment.
  • Healthcare, pharmacy, data, or analytics experience preferred.
  • Strong executive presence, with the ability to communicate credibly and confidently with senior stakeholders.
  • Proven success building relationships and navigating complex business-to-business sales environments.
  • Experience leading strategic client discussions that drive business outcomes and profitable growth.
  • Proven experience leading commercial contract negotiations, with the judgment to distinguish standard business decisions from issues requiring legal review, and a record of driving deals to fully executed agreements.
  • Self-starter with strong judgment and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote
  • Hands-on experience operating CRM and contract lifecycle management systems (e.g., Salesforce and Icertis) to manage pipeline, contracts, and deal execution.
  • Comfort using AI-enabled productivity tools is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
