Business Development Manager - Broadline Food Service

Diversey, a Solenis company, provides cleaning, hygiene and infection prevention solutions for the education, government, office building, retail, hospitality, food service, and healthcare markets. These solutions include cleaning chemicals, equipment, digital technologies and value-added services that enable customers to build a cleaner, safer and more sustainable world. The Broadline Food Service Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, and collaboration with internal teams to develop and execute growth initiatives. Preferred candidate location would be in the eastern or central US. Qualified applicants from other regions of the US will be considered.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Strategic Planning & Market Development

• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and potential clients.

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth targets.

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business decisions.

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

• Understand client needs and tailor solutions to meet business objectives.

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Sales & Revenue Generation

• Drive sales efforts to meet or exceed revenue targets.

• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals.

• Negotiate contracts and close deals with new and existing clients.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement

• Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align business development strategies.

• Provide feedback to internal teams based on client insights and market trends.

• Support the development of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

• Maintain accurate records of business development activities in Salesforce.com.

• Track and report on KPIs, pipeline progress, and revenue forecasts.

• Analyze performance data to optimize strategies and improve outcomes.

Accountabilities:

Revenue Growth: Accountable for achieving quarterly and annual sales targets.

Client Acquisition: Responsible for acquiring new clients and expanding existing accounts.

Market Intelligence: Accountable for providing actionable insights from market research.

Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.

Contract Negotiation: Ensure contracts are negotiated in line with company policies and profitability goals.

Compliance: Adhere to legal, ethical, and company standards in all business dealing

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred, but not required

• 5 + years of experience in broadline food service distribution

• Business Development Management experience

• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time

• Experience with strategic planning and market development

The expected compensation range for this position is between $91,800.00 and $153,100.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
