To identify and develop new relationships, and maintain, deepen, and broaden existing relationships with key distributors in assigned panel including in partnership with other BDMs

To identify and develop new relationships, and maintain, deepen, and broaden existing relationships with key distributors in assigned panel including in partnership with other BDMs

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops new relationships and existing relationships through targeted prospecting activities.
  • Partners with wholesale BDMs to create and execute on specific sales plans.
  • Responsible for achieving individual sales targets; achieves sales and sales activity goals within the spirit of Vanguard's Code of Ethics.
  • Raises awareness of Vanguard's product range through targeted prospecting activities including but not limited to: call campaigns, email campaigns, and cold calling. Will also be asked to deliver presentations and client seminars when appropriate. Face to face meetings with clients where needed, including travel to conferences etc.
  • Acts as a trusted adviser/consultant in matching client needs with Vanguard products and services. Educates advisers on the benefits of Vanguard and our product offerings.
  • Leads/participates in other projects/duties as assigned.
  • Collaborates and effectively engages with other departments, including providing them with client insights.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • CII Certificate of Financial Planning qualified (or FPC). Diploma in Financial Planning (Dip PFS) or Investment Management Certificate (IMC) desirable.
  • Minimum of five years financial services industry, with at least three years wholesaling experience.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated executive presence, poise, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly and resourcefully to changing situations while traveling for business.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of investments and competitive environment. Familiarity with Vanguard a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of PC and MS Office software. Understanding of CRM systems.
