We are Northrop Grumman Australia. Our 800 strong team is leveraging unparalleled global resources to deliver sovereign Defence capability aligned to the Government’s priorities across Aeronautics, Mission Critical Systems, Space and Guided Weapons. As we build our business and our capabilities, we are also developing a reputation as a great place to work. Help us define what is possible for our nation and for your career.
Northrop Grumman Australia is seeking an additional team member to join Future Business. This is not a traditional business development or data capture position. It is a strategic position, focused on shaping where NGA invests in air sustainment and modernisation over the next decade and beyond.
This role suits someone who sees ambiguity as opportunity: someone comfortable identifying gaps, shaping ideas early, and turning them into credible future projects before a formal Defence requirement exists.
The role involves travel, varying by time of year and workload. The position can be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Canberra, with other locations considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
As a member of the Future Business team, you will:
This role has a clear and credible pathway to senior leadership. It is designed for someone who wants to influence outcomes, shape future capability, and leave a lasting imprint on NGA’s air domain portfolio, not just run the next capture.
You are likely ex‑RAAF or ADF, with deep credibility in air operations, sustainment or capability. You understand how Defence really works, where decisions are made, how funding is prioritised, and why some ideas never make it past discussion. You can balance operator need with engineering and commercial reality, and turn that understanding into outcomes that stick.
We have built our benefits to help you define your possible.
