What you'll actually do

• The business data scientist is accountable for recognizing stakeholders' real issues and understanding the product to identify improvement potentials. This includes cleaning and comprehensively understanding the data to ensure reliability and accuracy for analysis.
• This role involves delivering actionable, data-driven quantitative analyses and constructing and checking hypotheses based on data. The business data scientist is responsible for performing ad hoc data analyses as requested by product teams to derive insights that support business decisions.
• The business data scientist develops, modifies, and maintains data-driven processes that are essential for addressing business challenges. This includes proposing solutions and strategies aligned with the company’s objectives to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
• Accountable for analyzing and improving the existing business development process, the business data scientist utilizes their expertise to inform potential enhancements and drive business growth through informed decision-making.
• The role requires the capacity to effectively communicate complex mathematical or technical concepts to a non-technical audience. The business data scientist must formalize and visualize the results of data analysis to ensure clear understanding and applicability of insights derived.
• The business data scientist must demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently, managing multiple simultaneous deadlines, and adapting to constant requirement changes. Collaborating with various project teams across different domains, the role ensures alignment between data initiatives and business objectives.

Who we’re looking for

• Higher education with a large component of mathematical modeling
• Previous experience as a product data scientist
• Excellent data analysis skills, with 3 or more years of BI or analytics experience
• R or Python experience
• Strong grasp of SQL, especially complex queries and analytic functions
• Strong experience with predictive machine learning modeling
• Deep knowledge of product and business metrics
• Excellent understanding of mathematical statistics
