The Business Data & Intelligence  Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business.

Responsibilities:

Reporting & Analytics:

• Lead the production and oversight of Management information and Monthly Business Review reporting
• Provide analysis and commentary on key operational metrics, trends and emerging risks
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure reporting is clear, actionable and aligned with governance requirements
• Manage business data and support initiatives to improve data management practices
• Provide in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and streamline operational processes

Stakeholder Management:

• Act as a key point of contact for data related queries, governance reviews and operational insights
• Liaise with multiple Operations teams/departments
• Serve as analytical and/or procedural expert, representing a unit or team on cross functional processes or project deliverables
   

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, improve data controls and reduce operational risk
• Support strategic initiatives to enhance data management frameworks and operational oversight
• Lead projects, resolves escalated operations' issues and/ or offer solutions at an advanced level
• Serve as subject matter expert in business, planning and analysis for operations area supported
• Stay abreast of the organization's operational procedures and best practices in business strategy and process/quality improvements; using such knowledge to recommend customized business solutions to internal clients
   

Qualifications:

• 3 - 5 years of experience managing business data and operational reporting
• Strong analytical capability with experience in interpreting operational metrics and performance indicators
• Experience with working with large datasets and reporting tools (Excel, Power Query, PowerShell or similar tool desirable)
• Ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders (across functions); ability to communicate with external parties
• Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
