ODCR Department is the first‑line of control, risk and resilience function responsible for designing, embedding and maintaining an effective internal control, operational resilience, sourcing and data governance framework across ING Switzerland.
As ODCR Business Control Specialist your mission is to support business and Control/Risk owners for maintaining the bank safe and secure. This consists in assisting business leads and control / risk owners on the following key activities and objectives:
- Fulfilling their first‑line ownership for non‑financial risks
- Identify, measure, monitor and mitigate non-financial risks
- Embed in the internal processes a strong internal control environment and ensure its design and effectiveness through regular testing
- Support for implementation of all applicable ING Frameworks / Control standards in the most appropriate and efficient way given local context and specificities (Swiss regulatory requirements), ensure its design effectiveness through regular testing
- Coordinate and execute the Key Control Monitoring (KCM) plan for the branch aligned with the global planning and with the sourced activities, by applying the required technique (KCT, RBTA, Attestation, etc)
- Target a high effectiveness rate and follow-up on non effective controls root cause for remediation
- Coordinate and facilitate risk assessments (Entity, PARP, RCSA, TIPM), ensuring quality, completeness, and timely execution, while risk ownership remains with business owners; support in assessment of the Inherent risk, applicable mitigants and resulting residual risks
- Perform required updates and make use of the local / group tooling securing data quality (irisk, ICS portal, ODCR Dashboard) ;
- Identify and coordinate with Data Protection Office and Sourcing SPOC on the required assessments
- Collaborate for the required implementation and update of Operational Resilience, including local regulatory aspects and coordinate with subject matter expert
- Registration and monitoring of reported issues & events, coordinate regular follow-up with owners and PTAs ;
- Assist business leads for regular reporting and participation to NFRC on the NFR topics (PCS implementation, KCM execution, Risk Assessments, Issues & events status and overdue) as well as with the Operational Committee (COP)
- Coordinate with Hubs colleagues on the deliverables and timelines
- Contribute to maintain a strong risk awareness culture in the branch
Internal and external communication lines
- Permanent interaction with all business leads / department heads and the designated SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for Risk & Control tasks within their department
- 2nd line functions : Compliance, NFR, DPO, Legal
- Collaborating with Hub colleagues (CoE, BPs, etc) as well as Group ODCR functional line
- Interactions with Internal Auditors (when the case)
