Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The Business Consultant / Data Governance & Business Integration Lead will be responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives, supporting enterprise data governance, and driving program delivery across multiple business, operational, and technical teams. This role ensures alignment between business requirements, data standards, and program objectives while managing vendor partnerships, supporting client implementations, and strengthening data governance operating models.

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead governance and stewardship meetings to ensure alignment with data standards and compliance requirements.

  • Enforce alignment to enterprise data standards, policies, and compliance.

  • Ensure vendors meet data quality, interoperability, and governance expectations.

  • Support data exchange deliverables (837/834, privacy workflows, ADT layouts, VBP interactions).

  • Contribute to the enhancement of CDMG governance frameworks and operating models.

  • Develop business requirements, process documentation, and workflow designs for new initiatives.

  • May lead teams of analysts assigned to complex projects.

  • Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex and varied business needs.

  • Analyzes and designs solutions to address complex and varied business needs.

  • Consults with business partners concerning application and implementation of technology.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 8 years business analysis experience, which should include analysis and project management; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Core Technical Skills: Data Platforms & Warehouses – Snowflake, SQL queries, databases, schemas, tables, views, validate data availability and readiness Cloud Platforms, GCP and/or AWS strongly preferred.

  • Understanding of cloud data architectures strongly preferred.

  • Understanding of data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, timeliness) preferred.

  • Data Integration & Interoperability Awareness: Batch vs near-real-time integrations, data layouts, domains, understanding of healthcare data exchanges and interoperability concepts (e.g., 837/834, ADT feeds) Security, Privacy & Compliance Awareness (strongly preferred): PII / PHI concepts, Data classification preferred.

  • Strong awareness of data security, privacy, and compliance requirements, including PII/PHI handling Vendor & Client Technical Fluency strongly preferred.

  • Ability to lead vendor and client technical discussions and translate between business and technical stakeholders preferred.

  • Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations is strongly preferred.
