USCC In-Business Credit and Franchise Risk team serves as 1st line of defense for US Consumer Cards businesses with ~1,300 employees and contract workers primarily in US and India. The Business Execution team is responsible for the group’s ongoing planning, administrative, organizational and development activities.
We are looking for a candidate to join the Business Execution team to support the financial management of the team's costs and related processes within our team, as well as contributing as a key resource to streamline and automate processes.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with centralized staffing office on contractor hiring requirements and partner with business managers to forecast monthly headcount
- Analyze budgetary/accounting data and provide financial updates
- Collect, review and consolidate requests for weekly funding reviews for BX team lead.
- Support the month-end close and accrual process, identify variances and communicate commentary. Familiarity with Marketing Resource Management tool is a plus.
- Produce monthly expense updates for senior leadership. Develop streamlined / automated reporting
- Review budget and forecast estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformity with procedures and regulations. Gather / verify supporting details for vendor related costs and ad-hoc analysis
- Support timely updates for periodic forecasts and annual plan process. Support with the month end close routines, identify variances and develop commentary
- Provide advice and technical assistance with cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparation
- In partnership with the wider BX Team - understand the complexities of IBCFR financials. Coordinate data summaries with the BX Workforce Management Team.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Advanced Excel expertise including demonstrated capabilities with pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, and formulas
- Proficiency in data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Tableau.
- Familiarity with coding in Confluence is a plus
- Comfortable with the Citi AI tools including Citi Assist, Citi Stylus and Citi Stylus Workplaces
- Detail oriented, curious by nature, and strategic thinker that can prioritize and multi-task between the multiple priorities
- Comfortable to perform in fast paced environment - agile to pivot in support of critical tasks and deliver within critical timelines
- Acts as a change agent – identify process gaps, trends or anomalies and recommend improvements to existing practices
- Communication & Influence: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
