Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytically astute Business Analyst / Architect to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our Access Lifecycle transformation initiative. This individual will be instrumental in defining precise, unambiguous requirements, meticulously validating vendor designs and architecture, and driving the holistic harmonization of processes across our single platform. The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional ability to critically challenge vendor submissions, ensuring high-quality, sustainable solutions that prevent costly rework and align with strategic objectives.

The Business Analyst / Architect will be a critical bridge between business needs and technical implementation, focusing on clarity, quality, and strategic alignment and strengthening the ideas from the Product Management team.

The Access Lifecycle Solutions (ALS) team is part of Identity & Access. The ALS Business Analyst / Architect supports the vendor with requirements and designs strategic solutions on the central IAM platform which is responsible for managing the request, approval, provisioning, review, and revocation of access to IT assets across the organization.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the detailed outline of all requirements (functional, non-functional, security, access, technical, operational) from diverse stakeholders, ensuring clarity, completeness, and testability.
  • Critically review and validate all vendor-provided designs, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications, ensuring they precisely meet documented requirements and adhere to Deutsche Bank's architectural principles, security standards, and best practices.
  • Take a holistic view of the ALS platform, actively identifying opportunities for process harmonization and standardization across various business units and functionalities.
  • Engage actively with key stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of requirements, designs, and project goals.
  • Work with various technical teams (inside ALS and outside ALS) to understand the dependency and jointly work with the solutions when there are interlinks between different systems. Coordinate and facilitate meetings to unblock dependency if required.
  • Translate complex technical designs and architectures into understandable business language for non-technical stakeholders and vice-versa.
  • Collaborate closely with QA and development teams to ensure test cases accurately reflect requirements and design specifications, minimizing defect leakage into later stages.
  • Understand and consider operational, regulatory and other risks relate to the service.
  • Work with development team to initiate the development plan based on the agreed design.
  • Consult development team, testing team, BA team to ensure same understanding of the solution and status.

Your skills and experience

  • Completed degree in IT or a comparable qualification.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills (English fluent)
  • Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, reliability, flexibility, and leadership.
  • High degree of customer orientation
  • Cloud Architect qualification is plus.

Experience

  • Experience working in complex IT systems, Understand the large scale thinking and approach of a global service;
  • Experience of Identity and Access systems (with a focus on request & approval, provisioning, recertification, admissions/exits)
  • Experience in Architect, designing solutions,
  • Good understanding of Information Security Control frameworks;
  • Experience working in Cloud environment, experience with Cloud migration is a plus
  • Knowledge of Mainframe access, Active Directory, OIM, ForgeRock, SailPoint is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
