We’re looking for Business Analyst to join our team in Bradford on a permanent basis. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with expectations of spending two days in the office.
You’ll play a key role in supporting both HR and Payroll projects, helping to drive efficiency, innovation, and service excellence. We’re seeking a proactive analyst with strong experience in Transformation and Change, someone who can confidently partner with the Senior Transformation Manager and stakeholders across the function to understand business needs, analyse end‑to‑end processes, and contribute to meaningful, sustainable improvements.
This role has two core areas of focus:
• Automation and AI enablement – identifying opportunities to streamline processes through automation and exploring how AI can enhance the way we work.
• Transformation and continuous improvement – tackling pain points, redesigning processes, and contributing to the ongoing optimisation of HR and Payroll services.
We’re looking for someone who can facilitate workshops, gather and prioritise requirements, and translate business challenges into clear, actionable solutions. Experience within People Services, HR or Payroll, and familiarity with LEAN methodologies, would be a strong advantage.
What will you be doing?
- Lead and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and define desired outcomes.
- Analyse current processes and design future-state models, including mapping end‑to‑end value streams to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Document and prioritise business requirements, along with associated risks, assumptions, and constraints, translating them into clear, actionable specifications for IT and change delivery teams.
- Create process models and documentation, such as process flows, user journey maps, and business rules, to support solution design and decision‑making.
- Support the planning and delivery of change initiatives, including impact assessments, communication approaches, and training materials.
- Contribute to business cases and feasibility assessments, and assist with tracking benefits and outcomes to ensure value is realised.
- Monitor project progress, maintain accurate documentation, and support governance activities across change initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with organisational standards, methodologies, and data governance practices.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities, contributing to ongoing process optimisation across People Services.
We tend to look for people with:
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience working as a Business Analyst within Transformation or Change environments.
- Skilled in running workshops, facilitating cross‑functional discussions, and managing stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Strong capability in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation, with an ability to translate business needs into clear deliverables.
- Experienced in mapping end‑to‑end processes and developing process models (e.g., BPMN, value stream mapping).
- Familiarity with requirements management and collaboration tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Power BI, Lucidchart, or Miro.
- Understanding of testing principles and experience supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) through to sign‑off.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CQBA, CBAP, PMI‑PBA, IIBA Agile Analysis, SAFe Business Analyst/Agile) are beneficial but not essential.
Desirable:
- Background in People Services, HR, or People Operations, with an understanding of the employee lifecycle and service delivery processes.
- Experience working with LEAN methodologies, including contributing to or supporting the implementation of a LEAN framework.
- Comfortable using data and metrics to support benefit tracking, identify trends, and inform process improvements.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence presenting findings and recommendations.
- Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities, with a structured and analytical approach to decision‑making.
