In this role, you’ll map end‑to‑end workflows, spot high‑ROI use cases for automation and AI agents, and co‑create low‑code/no‑code solutions (think Power Apps and Copilot) that teams adopt. From translating requirements to validating performance, you’ll champion digital innovation—driving continuous improvement, scalability, and real business value.

The Business Analyst III works to proactively and creatively solve for business needs through broad cross-functional collaboration. Responsible for eliciting, documenting, and defining business requirements and contributing to process development for moderately complex projects and/or initiatives with visible impact to the business and / or systems. Leverages experience in influencing business decisions to deliver key insights and optimize solutions that have a visible impact to the business.

What you will do:

  • Translate ambiguous business needs into solid business and functional requirements for small to large projects with moderate complexity utilizing AI.
  • Assess and analyze existing business processes across departments to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and opportunities for automation or optimization using AI-driven solutions. Manage requirements across the lifecycle of a project to ensure end user satisfaction, business stakeholder buy-in, and scope integrity.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational goals, pain points, and success metrics, translating business needs into AI-enabled process improvements.
  • Partner with business unit and IT or other departments as needed to ensure successful implementation and ongoing business and / or systems support when appropriate.
  • Design and recommend AI-based solutions, including workflow automation, predictive analytics, natural language processing, and decision-support tools, aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Facilitate meetings and Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions in a positive way to drive cross-functional stakeholders to reach agreements and effective solutions. Meetings may include leadership.
  • Conduct research and interviews subject matter experts to create "As-is" and "To-be" process flows. Apply critical thinking to evaluate cross functional dependencies, including upstream and downstream impacts.
  • Develop business cases and ROI analyses for proposed AI initiatives, outlining cost, impact, risk, and implementation timelines.
  • Create business facing test scenarios, test scripts/cases, and mockups of data necessary to conduct testing. Create the traceability between requirements and scenarios to ensure business requirements are met. May monitor and report on testing activity and results.
  • Consult with others in the development of appropriate training materials to support the needs of functional areas.
  • May provide support to other entry and junior level Business Analysts.
  • May investigate and research system problems and enhancements, working collaboratively with IT and business stakeholders to identify options and provide business and / or technical solutions.

What you will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years of work experience (Required).
  • Three (3) years of analytical experience in a technical or business environment, including at least 2 years performing business analysis functions (gathering business requirements, documenting process/data flows, and performing gap analyses) (Required).
  • Foundational understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, including machine learning, automation, and generative AI, with the ability to identify practical business use cases and process improvement opportunities.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence fundamentals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot, PowerApps, Python, SQL and internal systems.
  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries.
  • Experience in a project environment that utilizes Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience performing business analysis for work efforts of moderate complexity.

  • You’ll continue to build proficiency in platforms like Power Apps and Copilot, moving from basic workflows to more sophisticated, scalable solutions. Staying current with emerging tools and best practices will be key to driving adoption and impact.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • You’ll hone your analytical skills to translate business needs into actionable insights, leveraging data to validate solutions and inform continuous improvement. This includes learning advanced techniques for measuring ROI and communicating results to stakeholders.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.

The salary range for this role is posted below; we generally target up to and around the midpoint of the range.

National Salary Range:

$80,200.00 - $125,600.00

National Plus Salary Range:

$84,200.00 - $143,100.00

*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
