JOB SUMMARY
The Building Manager role is the first point of contact for all issues related to their portfolio of buildings, approximately 120-140 units in residential properties around San Francisco. To be successful in this role this individual must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, project management skills, and customer service. This role demands top notch follow-through and time-management practices to ensure our buildings and residents are managed to our high Veritas standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as a primary point of contact and liaison between residents, management, and vendors. Respond to inquiries, work orders, and requests promptly, effectively, and efficiently.
Actively manage work orders by submitting maintenance requests, tracking them to completion, and verifying work as completed
Conduct weekly documented inspections of all properties
Ensure building security is appropriately managed by practicing good key control, which includes granting access for vendors as needed
Process all move-in/move-outs with the residents, Regional Property Management, and the Leasing teams.
Engage appropriate vendors to quote and manage the unit turnover when vacancies occur. Actively project manage the process until timely and successful completion.
Follow procedure for posting notices such as 24-hour notices, 3 days, etc.
Attend semi-annual town hall events as a representative of the company and owner
The manager will have a base portfolio size of 120-140 units. The portfolio size will increase with new acquisitions
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a MUST
Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
Ability to make effective decisions relating to building maintenance
Leadership, management experience or project management preferred
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize a heavy workload
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
Customer service and maintenance background preferred but not required
Must be located within near proximity to San Francisco
Must have a vehicle

COMPENSATION
Hourl pay rate of $28 - $34/hr with a base portfolio of 120-140 units.
*Building Managers are given top consideration for a Resident Manager position (if desired) with housing after a 90-day probation period.
