SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting the broiler manager in the production of high-quality birds for the plant while maintaining low cost and a highly motivated workforce. This requires scheduling chick placement and scheduling birds for processing according to weight in relation to what the plant needs, communicating with the growers, and giving advice on management practices and monitoring various feeding and health programs for broilers. Other responsibilities include monitoring cost reports, plant production, DOA’s etc. comparing the previous weeks performance and working with accounting personnel to ensure the accuracy and status of all broiler settlements and ensuring all USDA, NAE, NAO, AWB, and other government regulations are followed in the production of broilers. Other duties include meeting with and encouraging broiler technical advisors on a weekly basis working directly with equipment companies in order to ensure efficient lay out of equipment and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor s degree or equivalent.

Experience: 3 plus years.

Computer Skills: Elementary computer skills such as creating MS Excel, worksheets, Word documents, and checking electronic mail.

Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.

Supervisory Skills: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel in a single department of work unit who perform similar and or interrelated tasks and activities.
