We’re seeking a full-time Broadcast Maintenance Engineer with strong IT skills to join our engineering team. You’ll provide daily maintenance and operational support for a large, complex broadcast facility, ensuring reliability across traditional and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and troubleshoot broadcast and IT systems, including studio/control room automation, master control, ENPS newsroom, cameras, audio gear, and streaming encoders.
Configure and troubleshoot IP networking for servers and broadcast equipment.
Diagnose signal flow and data flow issues; interpret schematics and system drawings.
Support remote feed technologies (Dejero, TVU, Haivision) and streaming workflows.
Collaborate with engineering team to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of IP networking (LAN/VLAN/WAN/VPN), Active Directory, Windows/Linux platforms.
Familiarity with broadcast systems: Ross Xpression/Tessera, LED videowalls, Dante audio, satellite transmission.
Ability to use network tools (ping, traceroute) and common test equipment (signal generators, scopes).
Understanding of video compression, resolutions (e.g., 1080i) and bandwidth requirements.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work from schematics.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with newsroom and production environments.
Requirements
5+ years as an IT technician or broadcast maintenance engineer (media facility preferred).
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline a plus.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Must join IBEW Local 1220.
Shift work required (nights, weekends, holidays) with occasional overtime.

Compensation:
$27.32 to $45.76 per hour - commensurate with applicant's experience and skill level
