The Opportunity:
The Deputy Chief of Cybersecurity Engineering will report to the Chief of Cybersecurity Engineering. The Deputy Chief Cybersecurity Engineer provides leadership on the program to develop, modernize, operate, integrate, and sustain cybersecurity platforms, services, and capabilities. Responsible for all technical performance spanning Boundary Security, Endpoint Security, Cyber Security Tools, and Solutions Architects. Serve as the primary point of contact within the program office for all day-to-day technical matters and issues relating to cybersecurity that are not within scope of the Cybersecurity Operations Manager. This position will be located in Springfield, VA.
Responsibilities:
• Provide architecture and engineering expertise/guidance for the design, development, implementation, operations and sustainment of cybersecurity services that enhance the cybersecurity posture of Programs, Systems, and the Enterprise.
• Support the research, analysis, solution design and implementation planning of solutions for the modernization of existing cybersecurity solutions in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to include the Cybersecurity Operations Manager.
• Support strategic technological innovation, demonstrating a breadth and depth of knowledge in all things related to the complex operations of cybersecurity services.
• Provide technical insight and high-level functional systems analysis, design, and integration on complex matters that require expert level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Candidate must have a TS/SCI with ability to obtain a Polygraph
• At least 10 years of relevant technical experience that would support the various requirements of the role.
• Demonstrated specialized experience with implementing, engineering, architecting, or operating cybersecurity technologies with an emphasis in DoD capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience leading design and implementation of complex cyber security solutions
• Demonstrated leadership experience serving as a chief architect, security engineer, functional manager, or a team lead for a minimum of 5 years.
• Demonstrated experience modernizing complex enterprise cybersecurity systems.
• Demonstrated experience presenting briefing to senior customer management and customer stakeholders.
• Certified DoD 8140.01 and 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical Officer (IAT) Level II and CSSP Infrastructure Support
Desired:
• Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity design, engineering and operations with emphasis on NGA capabilities.
• Demonstrated 5 or more years of experience supporting an IC or DoD agency in adopting and transitioning systems and services to cloud environments, including hybrid cloud environments.
• Demonstrated specialized experience applying ICD-503 Risk Management Framework, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications, Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) 1253, International Standards

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$131,800 - $290,000
