Job Title: Bookkeeper

Overview:
A growing organization in Bogota, NJ is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Controller to support all financial operations. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong bookkeeping, accounting, and financial management skills. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is essential. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, works collaboratively, and maintains a professional, positive demeanor. Experience in real estate development is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
Maintain accurate financial records within QuickBooks
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Perform bank reconciliations, oversee expense tracking, and manage cash flow
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Coordinate with external accountants for tax filings and compliance
Provide financial insights to support leadership and organizational decision-making
Qualifications:
3–5 years of professional bookkeeping and accounting experience
Required proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Professional, organized, and collaborative working style
Real estate development experience strongly preferred
