Position Overview

We're looking for someone with exceptional digital acumen to act as our Digital Media Strategist in the Phoenix market. This role serves as a dedicated revenue partner to KTAR News and Arizona Sports Account Executives—working alongside them through regular, structured collaboration to identify digital revenue opportunities, keep them informed of product updates and market changes, and provide hands-on support for client needs analysis, presentations and campaign optimizations. Acting as a trusted consultant, this person will contribute to achieving digital revenue goals by ensuring AEs have the insights, tools, and strategic recommendations they need to close, upsell, and renew business. This position offers the opportunity to grow and be a part of a dynamic, expanding team.

Note: Work configurations are subject to change based on business needs and at company discretion.

  • This position is an onsite role that requires the employee to regularly work at our Phoenix site.

What You Will Do:

Primary job duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with clients, Account Executives, Account Managers, and digital fulfillment team members throughout the sales process to ensure campaign and service goals are achieved.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Account Executives to review pipeline opportunities, discuss client needs, and uncover new digital revenue potential within existing accounts and prospects.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to develop compelling, client-facing presentation that clearly articulate digital solutions and drive close, upsell, and renewal outcomes.
  • Support Account Executives with pre-sale activities including going on client calls to determine client needs, gathering audience data/research, conducting digital audits, pulling forecast information and media planning.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person client meetings alongside Account Executives, demonstrating digital marketing expertise and product knowledge.
  • Develop tailored digital solutions across owned-and-operated and third-party vendor extension products that align with client performance goals.
  • Analyze campaign and audience data to deliver optimization recommendations.
  • Oversee the fulfillment of digital marketing campaigns.
  • Verify and manage all digital campaign reporting data in sales materials.
  • Place all new digital orders and revisions within the traffic system.

Skills and Experience We Are Looking For:

  • 2+ years of digital marketing and advertising sales experience, preferably with programmatic placement.
  • Bachelors Degree in business, communications, sales, marketing, related field, or equivalent preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital products including display ads, SEO, paid search, social media, programmatic, IP targeting, OTT, CTV, email, mobile advertising, content marketing, and website/landing page development.
  • Proficiency with DV360, Google Ads, and GA4 platforms.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools is required.
  • Organized, detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple tasks across digital marketing and content marketing.
  • Strong presentation development skills with the ability to create and articulate comprehensive marketing solutions that earn client trust.
  • Excellent time and project management skills; sales operations experience preferred.
  • Collaborative approach with a history of exceeding sales goals.
  • Self-motivated, positive, persistent, and able to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.

Physical Demands

  • Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
  • Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to operate computer keys and general office equipment. Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
  • Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Compensation

$72,100-$92,700. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
