Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that standard safety and quality inspections & tests are conducted accurately and on time advising supervision/management of any non conformances.
  • Responsible for maintaining departmental hygiene standards at all times for the production area and completing daily workplace audits.
  • Follow all appropriate SWPs/SOPs and relevant department/site instructions, procedures and policies.
  • Responsible for packaging material control and that all waste is recycled where possible
  • Be able to understand SAP transactions e.g. ZC10 Printing tickets to be competent in SAP transactions
  • To work to the required standards packing bottles efficiently on to pallets via tables and tumble pack octibins.
  • To provide cover for break relief as requested by management/supervision, (to ensure smooth & continuous operation of the dept).
  • Involvement and contribution to all LEAN activities within the dept.
  • Attendance and involvement with 4hrly Performance review huddles/ briefs where required
  • Ability to perform quality checks
  • The ability to stand in as tech, understand basics of running PETs and HDs
  • Responsible for prekitting where required, forward planning to ensure minimal downtime

Key Result Areas:

  • Zero accident target and appropriate ratio of Near Miss Reports
  • Workplace audit score above 85% and department to be at ‘15 minute audit ready’
  • Quality levels (PPM defects) and achieving > 99.6% Right First Time
  • Involved and participating in scheduled internal/external training events
  • Material wastage levels in line with budget
  • Overall department machine efficiency of >90%
  • Conformance to Plan  of >95%
  • CI Work on nominated machines
  • AM/PPM task as scheduled
  • Downtime recorded above 85%
  • Participate & actively involved in Lean/SMED processes & improvements
  • KPI Deployment rating for team and self/shift

Relevant and Quantifiable Measures:

  • Work stations must be clean & tidy at all times.
  • Rejects must be reworked immediately or removed from the packing area.
  • All empty pallets to be stored & stacked safely.
  • Inform Team Manager of any mechanical, component and H&S issues.
  • Help reduce waste of materials where possible.
  • Deliver the KPI Deployment targets month on month
  • Ensure machines prekitted at all times

Technical Competencies & Qualifications:

  • Electric Truck licence is essential. Successful candidate must be willing to be trained to operate electric truck
  • Basic SAP understanding
  • Health & Safety knowledge
  • Technical aptitude, ability to set up/adjust PET machines
