Job Description:

  • Work directly with internal and external teams to assist in the preparation and review of the 10-Q, 10-K, and other recurring SEC filings for BREIT, a non-listed public REIT, reporting to the Vice President of BREIT’s SEC Reporting Group
  • Coordinate with other BREIT finance teams, portfolio companies, and the fund administrator to ensure information is properly flowing through the trial balance to the financial statement disclosures
  • Partner with others in BREIT Finance to ensure new transactions are appropriately disclosed in BREIT’s 10-Ks and 10-Qs
  • Monitor new accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements in order to proactively analyze impact on financial results and external reporting
  • Work with members of the SEC reporting group to manage relationships with internal and external auditors; coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits, and SOX controls testing across BREIT and its portfolio companies
  • Produce carve-out financial statements and coordinate audits for multiple BREIT subsidiaries

Qualifications:

  • BS (or above) in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA is required
  • 3 + years of public/private accounting experience
  • Experience with public companies and historical-cost accounting is required, experience with REITs is preferred but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Thrives in a team-based environment
  • Highly organized and proactive
  • Detail oriented and possess a strong work ethic; effectively multi-tasks and executes a wide range of assignments; strong time management skills
  • Ideal candidates will have a commitment to excellence in their work product and a desire to learn and grow as a professional

Expected annual base salary range:

$110,000 - $150,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
