DESCRIPTION:
As a Sr Account Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will increase revenue by developing and managing strategic customer relationships across our diverse portfolio of scientific products and solutions. You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, using your scientific expertise and consultative sales approach to help them advance critical research, development, and manufacturing initiatives. You will collaborate with technical specialists, product managers, and support teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to customers. You will oversee the following portfolios including reagents and instruments: Molecular Biology, Cellular Culture, Cellular Analysis (Microscopy, Cytometry…) and Protein Biology for the Invitrogen, Gibco and Applied Biosystem brands.

In this capacity, you will develop and implement strategic sales plans, handle critical account relationships, and drive customer happiness through consultative selling. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to provide customized solutions that satisfy customer needs while accomplishing sales objectives. Through a blend of customer visits and virtual connections, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to help customers advance their scientific ambitions.
REQUIREMENTS:
o Master's Degree plus 5-8 years of demonstrated business experience in sales in Life Science industry and proven track record to strategize and achieve results
o Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology or related scientific field
o Technical expertise and capability to grasp customer applications and workflows
o Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills senior experienced level
o Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships at all levels
o Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and MS Office suite
o Analytical and thoughtful planning capabilities
o Driven to meet sales goals and consistently delivering strong results
o Ability to manage time effectively to prioritize and complete tasks required
o Able to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment
o Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment
o Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 75% within the designated area
o Proficiency in English required; additional languages beneficial
