LOCATION:
The Strategic Partner Growth Manager (Mexico) is a remote, work from home position, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners (a structure central to our culture and our vision to change the work/life paradigm). Candidates must reside in the US or Mexico. Some travel is required, for client meetings or other internal meetings, conferences, etc. Candidates must hold a valid passport, be able to travel internationally and speak fluent Spanish.
THE ROLE:
Acceleration Partners is accepting applications for an exciting new role that will sit in our Strategic Partner Growth department. We are seeking an experienced Strategic Partner Growth Manager with business development/account management experience, ideally in the affiliate marketing space, to support the growth of this exciting new department and have a key focus in Mexico/LATAM. This person will be required to join client calls to pitch high value opportunities, to provide strategic insights, their progress to goals and proactively manage the top 10 partners for their respective clients. Thinking with a, how mentality, maintaining an action-oriented approach, and effective questioning will be critical in this role.
TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Revenue:
- Publisher Performance: Contributes to the growth of clients through creation of high potential relationships and optimization of publishers.
- Performance and Placement Trackers: Follow client-approved processes for paid placements and partner optimizations.
- Subject Matter Expert in Client Verticals and Partner Relationships: Is a trusted and knowledgeable resource, serving as a subject matter expert across partners, and the verticals of their managed clients. Proactively leads conversations to share insights and expertise, adding value not only to the accounts they support but also to the broader department and AP
Business Development and Publisher Relationships:
- Proactive Research: Identifies and recruits high-quality partners with strong revenue potential based client needs. Regularly utilizes available tools
- Written and Verbal Communication: Communications are clear, informative, and engaging. Asks relevant questions during publisher interactions to vet opportunities effectively. Manages day-to-day communication with top publishers in program (when paid placements and optimization)
- Initiative: Proactively identifies and executes areas of opportunity and optimization across the program to drive revenue growth
Top Partner Management
- Relationship Management: Where applicable, optimizes opportunities with top publishers on behalf of the client. Must view themselves as a true extension of the client's business and foster and maintain long-lasting relationships with these key partners
- Budget Management: Identifies and acts on opportunities that will drive client growth while maintaining a healthy return on investment
- Time Management: Demonstrates exceptional calendar and time management skills
Strategy and Execution:
- Alignment to Client Strategy and Goals: Where required, participates in engagement kickoff call with client and ongoing calls as needed; asks appropriate questions and has a clear understanding of client goals and KPIs
- Creation and Ongoing Ownership of Partner Strategy: Creates plan for recruitment and/or paid placement initiatives to support the client’s program, including expected timeline for execution. Implements paid placement strategy, including negotiation of terms, campaign set-up, commission changes, screenshots and communication with partners. Executes recruitment strategy, including list building, outreach template and tracker
- Strategy Pivots: Adapts to change and pivots strategies to reach client goals; sets expectations and projects new goals when not achievable. Consistently communicates with confidence and professionalism, constructively pushing back on unrealistic client goals while preserving trust and strengthening the relationship
Pitching Opportunities:
- Client Education and Alignment: Ensures clients have all necessary information to make informed decisions, clearly articulating the "why" behind each opportunity and the expected value it brings to the program, includinganticipated ROI
- Persuasiveness: Consistently demonstrates intellectual curiosity and a willingness to challenge the status quo. Regularly identifies, pitches and secures approval for innovative out-of-the-box opportunities. Clearly articulates the “why” behind each recommendation. Proposals are grounded in data and relevant client metrics
- Publisher Vertical and Client Knowledge: Maintains deep knowledge across publisher verticals and applies that expertise to confidently address client questions and identify areas of opportunity. Demonstrates a strong understanding of the client’s business and competitive landscape
- Tenacity: Proactively digs into the why behind a no or rejection; thoughtfully pushes back when appropriate and has a track record of successfully overcoming objections. Leverages knowledge to propose suggestions or alternative
QUALITIES OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Has strong aptitude for identifying digital strategies based on publisher business models, specifically in the Mexican/Wider LATAM market
- Quickly develops new relationships who can recruit brand-to-brand and unique partners.
- Self-starter with a strong internal motivation to hit targets
- Experience working with enterprise brands with a deep understanding of their business and media challenges
- Proven knowledge and understanding of performance and acquisition marketing
- Demonstrated history of managing partnerships that require moving complex decisions through organizations successfully
- Personal track record of commercial sales, success and ability to win the support of senior stakeholders
- Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical thinking
- Excellent communication skills to command an audience of senior stakeholders and bring partners and colleagues on your journey

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Knowledge of affiliate marketing/digital marketing
- Fluency in at Spanish
- 4+ years business development or relevant work experience (including account management, contract negotiations, marketing), preferably in the affiliate marketing space
- Experience working in a sales or account management role with enterprise clients
- Proven track record of reaching and exceeding goals
- Experience in a business development
- Experience in Performance Marketing (particularly Affiliate Marketing) industry preferred
- Effective communication and negotiation skills with ability to push back without damaging relationships. Detail-oriented and persuasive
- Proven record of success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable, fast-paced environment
- Comfortable leading client-facing presentations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a natural communicator and influencer
- Work from home and corporate office experience, a plus

- Target Salary is $70,000 - $85,000 depending on location and experience.
