The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering commercial value and insights through Mobility data analytics
This role will be responsible for supporting analytics and insights generation for the in Shell’s Retail business
The ideal candidate is a problem solver having an analytical mindset and passion for story telling using complex data in retail /marketing
The candidate should have good quantitative and number crunching skills and has applied those skills in solving real world problems in marketing
Responsible for collaborating directly with the Retail stakeholders & other partners across the globe
What you will be doing
Leverage analytics, data and deep customer insights to identify and execute innovative programs that continually push market initiatives to the next level
Support the design and development of reporting dashboards and presentations; establish templates and processes for regularly sharing out progress and results with key stakeholders
Providing end-to-end analysis support across different application areas
Support development of the contact strategy with ad-hoc analysis and projects.
Continuously develop and support the ‘Insights & Reporting’ activities and be comfortable in working on complex analytics requests
Ability to turn complex data into compelling reports to support business performance storytelling
Storytelling using Data Visualization tools. Proficient in building, maintaining & redesigning reports and dashboards
Run and Maintain complex analysis and manipulation of data from multiple internal and external sources
Understands effectiveness study and experienced in planning/targeting for business activities based on learning from previous activities
Working collaboratively across multiple sets of stakeholders – business SMEs, IT, Data teams, Analytics resources, etc. to deliver on project deliverables and tasks
Identify actionable insights that directly address marketing challenges / opportunities
Articulate business insights and recommendations (based on model output) to respective stakeholders
Understanding business KPI's, frameworks and drivers for performance
Designing Power BI tools – Have the technical capability to design an end to end dashboard using Power BI. Be able to find best visual representations to showcase information in dashboards from the point of view of a non-technical stakeholder
Exploratory data analysis – Have the business & technical knowledge to be able to perform exploratory analysis in databricks for different initiatives within NFR
Monthly Business/Category Assessment – Have the business & technical know-how to be able to ensure continued relevance of this key report through business knowledge of the 5Ps.
Daily & Weekly reports (Daily Sales report, Margin dashboard) – Scaleup & Enhancements of key regular reports
Retail Ops/supplier reporting: Scaleup & Enhancements of key regular reports
What you bring
3-5 years of relevant experience in Retail / Marketing / Customer Analytics
Advanced university degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, OR, etc.
Experienced in Statistical analysis: Data Quality Analysis, Exploratory data analysis, Hypothesis testing, Univariate / Multivariate Analysis.
Have a deep understanding of the Benefrux NFR business
Good interpersonal communication skills and influencing skills.
Eagerness to learn and ability to work with limited supervision.
Identify the right approach(es) for given scenario and articulate why the approach fits.
Strong experience in specialized analytics tools and technologies (including, but not limited to)
Power BI
Power Automate
Azure Databricks
Python, R, SQL
Alteryx
Curiosity and ability to develop new approaches and solutions by identifying opportunities to automate and digitize market processes
Assess data availability, quality, and modeling feasibility
Proficient in coding and creating compelling presentations for the senior stakeholders
Easily analyzes, draws, and synthesizes important insights from complex data.
Extremely curious and self-driven to understand business performance through data.
Ability to translate a business or marketing question into a well-defined analytical plan that includes data requirements for technical resources to extract the necessary data.
Rapid onboarding on projects, understanding analytics goal and working with ill-defined datasets
Communicating technical jargon in plain English to colleagues within Data Science team and outside
