Bed Management Coordinator (40 Hours, Evenings)

Provide a highly skilled, consistent approach to the management of bed resources, using appropriate age and sex criteria. Insure the processing of patients in a customer-focused yet efficient manner. Prepare daily census reports that effectively communicate the Medical Center's occupancy status. Work with Nursing Leadership in an effort to utilize staffing resources prudently. Act as a gatekeeper in order to protect the Medical Center’s risk arrangements with our insurers and physician partners.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Patient Registration or other hospital department.

  • Reception/office or other healthcare experience required.

  • Medical setting and medical terminology experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Previous computer entry / word processing experience required.

  • Meditech knowledge helpful.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required

Compensation Range:

$16.99- $25.24

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
